Editing – its been almost 3 years. They are all in good condition stillI purchased 6 of these for my kitchen table over a year ago. 5 are used daily (4 at table and 1 at my desk)Last week I purchased 8 more for the dining table we built.Here is what you need to know-1 you are paying an average of $55 a chair. Dont expect an heirloom piece of furniture2 they look nice but do stain easy. Either scotchguard them or have a shampooer with attachment ready3 there are only 9 screws to put together. Its not complicated but will take some patience. The easiest way to put it together is on the diagonal just like you would in any type of construction. Put in the back screw on one side then the front of the other. When putting the screws in start by hand. If its not going in easy than you are cross threading them. Pull it out and start again. The spacer between the screw and washer is to help keep you from over tighening. If you over tighten you WILL crack the wood. POINT BLANK4 be prepared to periodically retighten as they are used. If it feels wiggly, check the tightness WITH THE ALLEN WRENCH. it may look tight to the eye but it wont be. DO NOT USE THE CHAIR WITH OUT TIGHTENING. The wood is not thick, it needs to be tight (but not over tightened) or it WILL failThese things should all be common sense but clearly thats not common anymore.I havent had the 1st issue with mine. They have supported 215 lb hubby just fine. They are comfy enough for daily use, even using at my desk for 8 hours a day

So read a lot of reviews before buying the chairs – mostly good reviews with some concerns over comfort. I will say they they are not as bad I was expecting as far as comfort. When you pull them out of the box, they feel soft but when you assemble the chairs and sit in them, at first it feels much firmer than you’d expect. I will say though, once you get over the shock of them being a bit firmer, they actually aren’t bad to sit in at all. I sat in one chair for over an hour and a half last night and was comfortable and I even forgot they were a little firm. I think it’s really the shock at first but they are fine. I will be ordering two more to have a full set of 4. Also, nice look and sturdiness for the price. One set of hardware was missing a washer but no big deal.

Good looking, easy assembly. Firm seats, but that’s what I wanted.
Well packaged. Look great! All hardware parts were also well packaged. Assembly was very easy. Instructions were clear, but it was pretty intuitive, anyway. Only took about 15 mins per chair. Tip: hand tighten the bolts almost all the way, so that you only need a few turns with the allen wrench to do the final tightening.

Update – we bought another set and it wasn’t as great of an experience as the first order.The upholstery on one of the chairs is way off grain so the linen pattern on the seat is diagonal compared to the other chairs and chair backs. We can live with that since we can use a slipcover over it if it bothers us too much.BUT – there’s another issue.The second shipment is also missing 4 of 18 pieces part A and 5 of 18 pieces of part B so we can’t assemble the chairs without going to the hardware store or by jumping through some of the manufacturers hoops to get replacement parts for what should have been included in the first place.5 stars for the first order, 2.5 stars for the 2nd order.Original review:We bought a farmhouse table off of a neighborhood swap. It had been stained with a dark color that we thought would look nice in our space but it was too dark and didn’t work with the chairs we owned already.Not having a ton of money to spend on new seating I came to Amazon for a solution and found these. I’m glad I did!I got 2 benches (sold separately) and a set of 2 chairs.This review is for the chairs which were purchased as a set. Both were packed carefully in the box, no damage, no missing pieces.The assembly instructions were clear, though it was so simple I doubt most people would need to read them. We got them assembled with the included hex wrenches in just a few minutes.They are sturdy and they look really nice with the table. The light color of the upholstery and the dark legs is the perfect contrast and the nailhead trim works well with the rustic style of a farmhouse table, but gives it a little flair.The nailhead trim isn’t catching on clothing, everything is nice and smooth.The padding is firm – and this is the only time when the low price shows. I wouldn’t call these chairs ultra comfortable – like I wouldn’t want to lounge on them to read a book for hours. But to sit up at a table and eat a meal and sit and talk for a bit: it’s just right.

Still setting up my dinner but this chair is ok for the price. I am just hoping it last. It’s very firm. The looks is classy. I bought 4 of them.

These chairs are good value for the money. It didn’t take long to assemble them and the color is exactly what we expected.
