Very nice filing cabinet
The locking filing cabinet arrived in perfect condition. It is lightweight and just what I was looking for. There was only one problem. The keys weren’t hanging on the lock where they should have been.I tilted the cabinet forward and backward and I heard them sliding, but they had fallen below the bottom drawer and I couldn’t access them.I had to turn the cabinet over from side to side and from front to back and they finally fell out of the cabinet from the bottom. The lock works great!

Good storage for small space, great color and price.
Perfect for the home office with plenty of storage for a small footprint. Happy with the color, since grey seems to go with any decor, and appears to be well made. Good value for the cost.

Very Functional Affordable File Cabinet – Delivered Badly Damaged But Useable
I needed a two drawer letter size file cabinet as much under a hundred bucks as possible. I wanted black but not ugly! Something sleek for an apartment living room. I had an old Ikea unit made of wood which finally broke as it was not strong enough. I read all the reviews on Amazon for file cabinets I liked the look and were near my budget and some of much more pricey ones and at the end of my search found this one which was widely hailed as nice looking, easy to assemble, well made and inexpensive. I especially wanted to make sure I could access the whole file drawer all the way to the back and this was an element addressed in some of the reviews to my liking, so I bought two of the cabinets. The first one arrived about a week before the second. All I needed to do before using was attach the drawer handles, which requires just a phillips screwdriver. It comes with two handles which each use two screws to attach through small holes to the drawers. It’s done from the inside of the drawer and requires a LOT of pressure on the screwdriver to get the screws to go all the way in, but they do fit if you press hard. The drawers slide very smoothly, all the way in and out, and it’s a solid unit which will not tip over, while at the same time being easy to slide around a room around before you fill it with files. This was one was in perfect shape and came in a very large box which required help to move due to size (not weight). The second one arrived, however, with a long gash in the side of the box. The box had been taped over with packing tape by whomever had dealt with the damage in transit. Oh oh. Once opened, I found a circular puncture hole had been ripped in the back of the metal cabinet, as if it had fallen off a truck or conveyer belt from a great height and landed on a spike or post. Instead of being sent back to the factory, someone made a decision to patch up the box with tape and send it on its way. While very disappointing, I could see that the hole was not in the way of the drawers at all in terms of functionality; serendipitously it was purely cosmetic. Because of this and because my shipping location had been closed for Corona virus shutdown, and I did not want to get someone to help me schlepp it somewhere given the pandemic right now as I write this and when it was delivered to me, I decided to keep the file cabinet. I have used black duct tape to cover the gash but it is against a wall so it is never seen anyway. I highly recommend these cabinets as high-functioning, aesthtically pleasing, and affordable. And they DO have free returns and shipping if you receive it and need to return it. Here’s hoping if you do, it’s not in the middle of a pandemic!

Better than expected
This product comes fully assembled except for the handles. That is a big plus for me. I ordered it in red and it’s the perfect size for the space next to my desk. The packaging is also 5 stars. It took longer to break down the box than to set up the cabinet and attach the handles.

You get what you pay for in life and I have NO complaints here!
Very happy with this purchase. But do remember you get what you pay for. A HON or similar quality 2-drawer file cabinet can sell for $200 or more brand new. Even a second-hand dinged-up model can go for $100. But for the money this is a decent buy.Plus:* Good price and free shipping.* Arrived in great shape and on the day after I ordered.* Drawers work fine.* Handles took 5 minutes to attach.* Biggest selling point for me: these files are shorter than your average cabinet which means they can fit under a standard office table. Not all 2-drawer files can do that.* Very lightweight. I could carry two of them up two flights of stairs by myself without huffing and puffing.* They have a working lock.Cons:* They are made of lightweight material, probably aluminum. They could be dented easily if dropped, banged or kicked.* Lock is basically a joke. I used to have a cat who could manage to open my file drawer if I left it even slightly ajar and get at the catnip I stored within. This would stop the cat if I locked catnip into the file. But nothing much else. Will stop your neighbor from snooping if you let him hang out in your office while taking a leak. Nothing much more than that.* Drawers are “only” 18-inches deep. That’s shorter than most but I have seen some as small as 12-14″. Still holds a fair amount of stuff and, again, if you only have a small space for it, or you want to place it under a standard office table and need space under it behind the file, the 18-inch depth can be a selling point.* The drawer doesn’t come out fully so if it’s packed you might have a small challenge accessing the files in the very back.* The file can be top heavy if you fill the top drawer first or with heavier materials. The box itself even warns you about tipping it over. Of course, this applies to any file cabinet but heavier ones have more inherent stability than this one.* I wish the handles came attached as it does take about 10 minutes fiddling with a Philips screwdriver to put them on. (I bought TWO of these units.) No big deal. I don’t see where others have claimed to had troubles doing it, or that the screws didn’t “seat” fully. I had no need for a washer or anything, just a bit of elbow grease and a flashlight.

THOMAS CHAKRAMAKKIL –
quality is good. But the picture of the product had file holders in the cabinet. Hence I expected that the offer is including the file holders. Now I have to search for it in the local market. In the context of Covid I wanted to avoid it. Now I have to do that.
