Candles packaged in a way that bent the shape
The candles are made with a heavy plastic that had a bend in the middle that distorted the shape instead of being flat to create a symmetrical round shape putting it together. It did its job for the table along with other decorations I put out, but was frustrating trying to make the candles round with that defect.

Used these for my father in laws centerpieces for his bday party. Got a few compliments on how cute they are. Easy to put together and the tealights lasted for the 4 hours we needed them for.

I was all set to give these birthday lanterns a bad review until I discovered it was my own “user error” that had made me dislike them. Let me explain. When the lanterns arrived, they looked simple enough to put together. The lanterns are actually long rectangular plastic sleeves that connect via tabs. Simple, right? What I didn’t realize was that if you don’t put the tabs in the “right” way, the lantern sleeves will take on a weird oval shape. I’m bringing this up just in case anyone else might make the same mistake that I did. I have even provided a picture of what the lantern looks like when you slide the tabs in on the wrong side (it’s the last photo.) There were no instructions provided, so I had to learn through trial and error. Please don’t judge! However, once I properly “re-tabbed” the lantern sleeves, I was able to achieve the round lantern look that was advertised. Now, I still want to note, that these lanterns are not very large, so pay attention to their measurements. Once they are put together and have their tea lights inside them, they do look pretty nice when the lights are turned off and they are all glowing around your cake, table etc. But keep in mind these are not your typical lanterns. They are just simply pieces of sturdy plastic that attach at both ends to create a lantern look. The design is nothing too fancy, but the affect is nice. The price is reasonable-just what you would expect for this type of item. They do provide a large number of lantern sleeves and tea lights so there are no shortage of lanterns and lights you can use and reuse. Overall, I was pretty satisfied with these birthday lanterns and I plan to use them often to decorate my table for upcoming birthday parties.

Nice when it works…
The decor looks very nice when the tea lights work. The problem is the lights only stay on for 1.5 – 2 hours before the batteries give it up. The decor is probably good to put on a table during a meal, but other than that the batteries don’t just don’t last long enough.

Definitely worth buying
I didn’t read the description well so I didn’t know these weren’t actual cups but they’re actually even better because they breakdown and can be stored for the next celebration.I think they’re laminated printed paper with a simple closure. Just roll it and close it. So simple for easy setup. The votives are tiny lights with an ON/OFF switch. Some of the lights did come apart during transit but they’re easy to put back together and they work fine.
