Quality exceeded my expectations
Very pleased with this purchase. Was looking at different boards, and was a little hesitant to get a folding one, but saw this one on sale for $25 and change, saw that it has favorable reviews, and decided to take the plunge. So glad I did! Board has a nice finish, piece storage is nice with the foam cutouts, and the board lays flat when opened up. The pieces themselves are not heavy, but aren’t what I would consider lightweight either, they’re a good balance. The magnets hold them well to the board and the style and finish are nice also.Purchased this to teach my daughter how to play, and this really is ideal. Board is big enough to allow her to move the pieces without easily knocking into others, but the magnets hold well enough when she does. Price to value ratio is great in my opinion. I didn’t have to spend a bunch to have a nice quality chess set that will hopefully give a great return on investment with the memories made! Definitely recommended.

Quality chess set
We bought this as a gift for an 8 year old boy. We were very pleased with the quality of the board and pieces. It’s actually very attractive! His mom loved that the pieces are neatly stored in the board when it is folded. Being a magnetic set allows the game to be better secured in case of being bumped.

This wooden chess set has great quality for the price. The finish is clean, the pieces are smooth, and the hinges are solid. The walnut color of the board is calm and classy — I really like the overall look.One minor issue: the seam at the edge opens slightly when unfolded, but it doesn’t affect gameplay.It comes well-wrapped in plastic, so you can check the wood finish before removing the wrap. If it’s not in good shape, it can be returned.After comparing several magnetic sets under $30, I chose this one after comparing reviews and have no regrets. Highly recommended!

Nice lil chess set.
I took a star off because the board has a flaw on it that looks kinda like a blood stain. But other than that , we enjoy the size and the magnets of the pieces. Great for playing outdoors when windy. And the extra queens are a nice bonus.

This Chess set exceeded my expectations. It is so beautiful. I leave it set up all the time. With it’s strong magnets, I play a move a day with my wife and there is no worry about pieces being moved by our 2 playful cats. The quality is top notch, you will not be disappointed. 上海から届きました。外国からなのでドキドキしましたが、かなりいい感じ外箱は痛みがありましたが中身は綺麗でした。木のコマもいい感じでマグネットの張り付き具合もいい感じ。木の匂いもいい感じ。クイーンがチェンジ用でそれぞれ1個余分に付いてました。大きさも扱いやすい大きさです。持ち運びには少し大きかもしれません。この金額でこのクオリティで大満足です。

This is a really nice set. A great value for the price. I was a little worried it wouldn’t be nice enough because it’s cheaper than other sets, but it looks great and feels high quality. This was a good buy.

サクラみたいになっちゃいますが、全く不満はありません。とてもいい商品です。ボード・駒、それぞれの質感も高く、磁石のおかげで遊びやすいです。木材の匂いやニスの匂いは少しありますが全然きついほどではありません。サイズが思ってたより大きかったので、確認してから買った方が良いと思います。ちなみに、磁石は各マスの真ん中にあるわけではなく、ボード側全体に鉄板が入っているイメージです。
