Nicely finished, Light Weight and Sturdy.
As you’d expect, the Coreporch Patio Dining Chair is delivered as a DIY assembly kit that includes the four pieces that make up the frame, the cushion, and the fastening hardware. Coreporch also includes the allen wrenches needed for assembly.The assembly is fairly routine and if you’ve ever put together an Ikea product, you’ll know what I mean. I found attaching the caned back tedious because it requires installing and threading the corresponding bolts inside the caning. I have large fingers that made doing so somewhat arduous. Then, when the bolts are finally threaded, tightening them requires determining the best spacing between gaps in the caning and the head of the bolt in order to rotate the wrench; you’ll see what I mean when you get there.Anyway, and I’ll attribute some of the time to the less-than-ideal size of my fingers, I spent at least a half hour assembling the chair. Once assembled, my first impression when I sat in it is how uncomfortable it is; the bar at the top of the backrest hit right across my spine. Even though there’s caning across the top, it felt like bone on hard metal. To be fair, this is stated to be a “Dining Chair,” and if anything, that’s what it is. By that I mean it’s not a chair to lounge in, but rather to sit straight up at a table while dining; I didn’t find this chair at all comfortable when leaning back. If you want someone’s attention, put them in this chair. The Coreporch Dining Chair isn’t nearly as comfortable as the high-backed Hampton Bay chair shown in one of my pictures, that probably cost half as much.For what it is, the Coreporch chair is light weight, seems well-built and has a very nice powder-coated neutral brown finish. The cushion is held onto the chair with a looped, Velcro type hook and loop adhesive that goes around one of the bars of the cross section it sits on. The cushion is thick and comfortable and looks like fabric made to endure weather, but that’s yet to be seen. In addition, the fabric is zippered over the cushion, presumably for cleaning, although I haven’t removed it yet. As an assembled chair, it’s well-proportioned and sits level; if placed on an even surface, there is no rocking.

Nice outdoor dining chair
I have been redoing our outdoor spaces, which is taking longer than I’d hoped. I decided to throw out existing furniture due to time and wear, so I wanted just a simple chair to put by the pool so I could rest as I work on the area. I still don’t have the umbrella up!! Anyway, this was a perfect fit as I can use it while I work and then move it to the dining table outside.The chair came packaged very well, I thought. It actually took longer to open it from the wrap than it did to assemble. The enclosed screwdriver and wrench were all I needed to put the chair together as I sat watching TV, lol (following the easy to do instructions). The screws near the corded rope take a bit more time to line up as you have to weave thru the rope while aligning the screw to the holes.I am very pleased with this chair and cushion for what I needed. It is very lightweight and easy to move as I work. It is defintely not a pool chair but will work well at the dining table after I’m through upgrading our spaces.
