Extreme duty reclining chair for older people with mobility issues
If you are not familiar with Amazon Vine, it is basically Amazon trading free* products for honest reviews. You see a lot of Vine reviews that are cookie cutter and based on templates. I aim to make my reviews honest and non-cookie cutter (other than this intro and disclaimer).* These items are not actually free as Vine members pay income tax on the items they receive. Therefore, I will never order something from Vine unless I actually intend to use it. I think this is important for readers to understand because it means I will never order an item just to provide a fake five star review to a company. If I review something as good, it means I actually enjoyed using it or it fills its intended purpose correctly. Items that don’t meet my expectations will be reviewed accordingly.Why I ordered this item: My aging father moved in with us and he is unfortunately declining. He has a rocking chair that he loves but it’s hard for him to get in and out of it. I wanted something that we could roll him around in that would also be comfortable.Likes:* The build quality on this is insane. It feels like it is designed for industrial use. The weight limit is apparently 500lbs and my dad is right around 190, so it probably is overbuilt for him but I love how sturdy it feels.* Even though it’s heavy, it is very easy to operate. Even my relatively small wife can push him around our house in this chair.* Some of the other functionality is also nice. The reclining function is very smooth and he can do it without our help which is a big plus. He likes the side table too.No likes:* Once he sails to higher seas I don’t think we will have a use for this. I almost didn’t order it because of that, but I figured I should get over myself and get something for my dad that he would love, and he does. I obviously did not deduct any stars for this.Would I pay full price for this product: It’s expensive but yesFinal thoughts: Sometimes you really do get what you pay for. I honestly can’t imagine a nicer chair of this type. He loves it, it makes him happy and that was our goal in getting this chair.

Feels very sturdy and durable !
Got this for my wife, not that she has a medical need for it, but simply had been wanting a good sturdy recliner that would hold up and be dependable, did not need a 500lb capacity but realized with that capacity it would be durable.She uses it in the dining room/ kitchen area where we spend more time usually, she can sit facing the table or turn it sideways to the table if wanting to recline and relax as it would also face towards where we have a tv to watch.The side table works good whenever we might want to use it and the material feels durable and easy to clean.The rear wheels being able to swivel makes it easier to maneuver where you want.I did not see in the ad a measurement for the height of the seat from the floor but measured it at about 20 to 20 1/2 inches, if you are sitting on the front of the chair your feel can touch the floor, but not if you are sitting all the way back in the chair.The chair we got might have been be a rare instance of quality control oversight that maybe I would take 1/2 star off, but one of the legs where you insert the wheels was bent inward and I had to use vise grips to open up enough for the wheel to slide into it, it was not a big deal but in wanting to give a fair review I needed to mention it.Also it was somewhat difficult to assemble as there was not a lot of space to maneuver when tightening down the bolts but on the plus side once assembled it indeed felt sturdy.
