Solid piece with collapsable drawers
Easy to build. Everything was labeled very well and directions were easy enough to follow. I actually put this together with the help of both a 2yr old and a 4yr old and they had a blast doing it. They were able to follow the directions easily, know which pieces went where and even screw the pieces in the place. The only tricky part was to recognize yourself where the ends of the sliding drawer would hit the back stop and make sure that they’re all on the same sides (it showed you in the picture directions, but was a little hard to see). The unit feels strong and sturdy and my 2yr old and 4yr old building helpers each took a turn to lay on the top and test it out. It felt strong and sturdy and was not worried about it not holding either of them, even though it was too small for my 4yr old to fit. It fit my 2yr old just ok, but I would recommend this best with a baby (younger and smaller than a typical 2yr old). The side walls (or any of the top edge walls) do not have to be screwed in to keep the structure in tact of this dresser, however you would see screw holes if you did not so you would need to find a solution if you don’t want them. The drawers are each a collapsible bin type that has a hard sturdy flat bottom to help keep its shape. The front of each drawer has a wood grain look, and is a little harder than the side walls of the bins, but none-the-less are still part of a collapsable bin. You do have to screw in a knob on each drawer front though. Each drawer is a decent depth and size too, good for baby clothes, diapers or even some toys and stuffed animals or books on top when you’re done with the changing diaper use. Overall, good changing table/dresser, but seems more of a temporary piece rather than a longer term official piece of furniture simply because the drawers a collapsable rather than solid wood or mdf boards or something like that.

Very sturdy with LOTS of storage
As grandparents with not-too-good backs, we really needed a changing table at our house, too. Since we didn’t need a heavy piece of furniture, I thought this might fit our needs, and it does! It’s counter height, so it really does save our backs. And the HUGE fabric drawers hold so much stuff! Diapers, wipes, ointment, extra clothes—all the things. The drawers are lighter weight than wood, but are really of good quality—not thin and likely to tear. The top has a raised rail all the way around for safety. It can hold a standard-sized changing mat, which does not come with it. But you could easily just use a fluffy, folded towel as a pad. And it has leveling screws for the bottoms of the legs so that everything is nice and stable. This is really perfect for our needs. However…though I love the end result, it was a bit of a challenge to put together. I very much appreciate the fact that all of the screws and other fastening pieces are clearly marked and separately packaged (with an extra of each screw!). But the instructions could use some work. Some tips to help you:—Pay attention when you remove the plastic bags that the different parts are in. Some of the numbers that identify the various parts are on the bag instead of on the part. If you just pull them all out, you may not know which part is which.—When you put the main support pieces together (the first things), be SURE that the tab ends of the rails are all on the same side (see photos). That side will be the BACK of the table (this is important when you start installing the top safety rails). It tells you this in step 4, but I somehow breezed past it and wound up having to fix things later. The drawers will not go in if the tabs are not done correctly. Trust me.—When you get to the part on the top that uses the wood screws (not the machine screws), you can use the Phillips end of the included Allen wrench in the screw head so you can get more leverage with the longer end. The Phillips point will go far enough into the screw head that it will work on the Allen wrench part. You’ll see. But you’ll need the extra leverage to run those screws in.On the whole, though, I am very, very happy with this changing table! Just follow the directions carefully.

Missing holes to put together
Looks good, but one of the metal pieces did NOT have the holes it needed to be screwed. I’m lucky my husband is handy & made our own holes. I tried to reach out to Amazon & all they wanted to do was refund me if they got the item back. Makes sense, but I was NOT going to unscrew & put back in the box. Disappointed but that was the only issue. Not difficult to put together (when the pieces are there) & a good size.
