Great bookshelf. Very solid and put together well. It did require drilling some of your own holes.

Bought my third one!
Take your time assembling this and you end up with a beautiful hardwood bookcase. Price is very reasonable for a 100% hardwood bookcase. The cherry finish is gorgeous. I’ve bought three of these over the past two years, so I’m a happy repeat customer. I just hope this company stays in business. Assembly is straightforward if you’re somewhat handy and take the time to line everything up while fastening, etc. The only downside for me: a single dowel was missing and it took 13 days to receive one from the company. I’d suggest they include two extra dowels and two extra screws in the box to avoid this. I HIGHLY recommend this bookcase!

Great for a home office
This is a great piece for a home office. It’s solid, stable and stately. It was easy to assemble and fits a lot of books. You do have to be strategic with how you configure the shelves, otherwise there will be one that’s not tall enough to stand any books up.

Decent quality. Look really good when put together.
I bought 4 of the white 48” units to do a built in like look and have room above for pictures and decorative items.I like that you can vary the shelf heights to accommodate for large books/items.I put them together myself. It got faster the further i got in. Instructions are comprehensive enough. No extra parts.Everything lined up pretty good. Afew small gaps nothing that cant be fixed with caulking. Yes i am a perfectionist and they bother me, so i will fix them, but not really necessary. When assembled most would not notice it.I like that these are made of wood. I did use glue in the dowel holes.The backing is necessary to stablize the unit. I toyed with leaving them off, but will cut holes where plug sockets are.The reason i gave a 4/5 stars is the last unit i put together was misaligned. If i had done this one first i would have sent them all back. I had to shave a significant portion of the dowels off to get it aligned. This left a huge gap in the bottom shelf, and in my opinion significantly reduced the integrity of the unit. I guess there are always rotten apples with mass production.I am going to add moulding to the front to close the gap between the units when they are lined up to give the built in feel.Overall happy with the purchase.

Great product for the price point
These bookcases are beautiful!. I purchased 3 for a space because the size would fit perfectly.Pros: beautiful finish. Cabinets at home depot don’t even have this nice of finish.Easy to put together not a lot of parts.Dowels and pocket hole screws make for sturdy construction.Has more shelves than other units of its size.Cons: One had a Crack showing on the side. Not sure if it is just the finish as that is sometimes the nature of wood or if it will effect structural integrity of shelf. The damage may have been caused In Transport as the delivery person dropped them on my porch. I offered to help carry or to deliver to garage so they wouldn’t have t walk up steps but they declined and dropped each on consecutively.Tips: glue dowels.The screws provided are not pocket hole screws that self drill so go slow or drive in a little and back out to create false predrill.Instead of putting together Flat lay one side on floor put glue in holes, add dowels, ad glue to top of dowels and place parts into side then insert screws. Make sure bottom and shelf are oriented towards the frontbor vack cirrectly there is a difference. Repeat by adding glue in holes of the shelf and supports sticking up then line up other side with dowel and tap into place and screw into place.Install top by laying shelf on its back.06 is top support 09 is bottom supportSuggestions to manufacturer: include pocket hole screws. And maybe touch up finish.Overall: nice product would buy again. Waiting for reply from manufacturer regarding damaged side giving it 5 stars for now. Will update if repairs and or returns become a hassle. Note that in photos it show shelf sitting flush to each other which is on of the reasons I purchased. This is not the case the top overhangs sides a bit so there is a gap when they sit side by side.

Tips for installation
It’s a beautiful bookcase with a gorgeous color. Yes, it has some small imperfections, but they would never be noticed by anyone.Someone complained that they are obviously mass-produced. Surely they didn’t expect a hand-made special order solid wood piece of furniture for this price point?Somebody else complained that the bottom just sits on top of the skirt, with nothing holding them together. Not true. There iAre screws connecting both. You just have to pay attention to the instructions and the pieces.I can see why they recommend 2 people to put it together, but I had to do it on my own. I am a 74 years old female, and got the 6 shelves one. It wasn’t exactly easy, but I managed. Actually, one of the hardest parts was unpacking this thing. And I am not kidding. Everything was so snug with so much protection.The instructions are actually quite good, though I much prefer the lost art of verbal ones.The MDF back will be in the garage for a while, for the formaldehyde to dissipate. Though there is no odor, thankfully.The design is brilliant. If you try to fit something backward or upside down, no holes align, and you just can’t. For the most part. Though I still managed, it’s my special talent. Pieces 4 and 10 were tricky for me, figuring out the front from the back. And the upper and lower skirts. On the side pieces, the indentations are toward the back, by the way, so the front of the shelves has to be away from them.My most important advice is to verify 5 times the piece you are about to connect is placed correctly, and to not force it, or drill nee holes. If it doesn’t fit, you most likely have it reversed, or it’s the wrong piece.Also, if you find it for a cheaper price it’s a scam and won’t ship. As in aliexpress sellers.
