When my elderly mom’s hand made ceramic canisters finally gave up the ghost, she was in need of new canisters for her kitchen. Since these live on the countertop, attractiveness was a consideration.Came to Amazon and found this set of canisters. The shiny chrome finish matched her appliances perfectly. The lid is clear so contents are easily visible. The mouth of the canisters accommodates measuring cups easily. The size was perfect for her needs. Canisters are sturdily made with a sealing on the lid. A quick was and dry and these were ready for use. Mom is thrilled with them and that makes me thrilled. Highly recommended product.

Be wary, the seals ARE quite potent, and it does take some finesse and muscle to take them off safely. The lid style is actually smart for how it’s removed, and I get the impression they did a lot of testing to see what works best as a handle and holding position before landing on this. Though I was apprehensive when I first purchased.I will state the following. HOLD the jar with one arm, tucked in your arm holding to your body, while opening with the other hand, in almost a rocking motion until the top finally comes off, to avoid it moving around and popping off with any force. Especially the two larger ones.Absolutely fantastic design, quality construction, good quality stainless steel. When you do wash the lids, make sure to carefully wipe the inside and move it side to side to allow the water to enter the center, as there are a lot of hidden spots water seeps into. I actually had to reclean the jars after sealing them empty, thinking I properly wiped down the lids. No, I had excess water vapor there that went into the jars and sat there for a little over a week, maybe two, before I finally opened it up to put something in. Then had to clean the jars and figured out the water came from the lid and the room temp heat. No growth of any kind, and no rust on the stainless steel. So that’s quality food grade Stainless Steel.

Glass lids that seal tightly
I’m very impressed with this canister set.PROSThey are made of good quality stainless steel. They’re sturdy and i don’t think they’ll be easy to dent.They wash up great in the dishwasher so they’re easy to clean.The glass lids are nice. The only thing on these canisters that’s not glass or metal is the gasket on the lids. I’m not sure if that’s plastic or silicone.The lids fit very securely. I put the lid on the large empty canister, held it by the lid and shook it up and down. The lid didn’t budge.CONSBecause the lid gaskets seal so tightly I’m afraid the lid knobs will come loose over time unless I lift the lids from the sides and not use the knobs. They do include a couple extra screws and gaskets for the knobs for that reason.I would definitely buy this canister set again. I bought it for my RV and like that i don’t have to worry about the contents spilling while traveling.

Love these. Wanted to update from fave old, tired vintage containers. Had been looking for quite a while. Lids stay on great. If you are having a challenge opening, just slip a finger under the edge of lid and it comes off easily without any spills. I appreciate the bit of seal to keep it all fresh. Perfect value and functionality. I also love that I can look in the top and see how much is in it. Flour, sugar, brown sugar. So much easier to get to everything when cooking/baking. Lol, the largest is used for all our various charging cords. Now I don’t have to look at them all and they don’t sprawl everywhere.
