Nostalgic look and quality
These chairs remind me of the chairs my grandparents had when I was a kid growing up. We used to sit in them on hot summer afternoons and talk about everything. Now, I can do the same with my grandchildren. These chairs are built with the same quality of those chairs from long ago. They feel solid! Being sold as a two-pack, they are a good value. The enamel finish is is very thick. I accidentally hit the chairs with the tools several times while assembling them and it didn’t leave a scratch. The clamshell style of the chairs and teal color are very attractive. They are the perfect complement for my yellow house!

Quality that will leave you amazed.
My family had this style of chair decades ago when I was still a child. I loved the way they would bounce when I sat in them.Fast forward to the present, and I ran across these while searching for something else. Driven by my wonderful memories, I sent off for one, not realizing I was ordering a pair.I followed the instructions, and with a little common sense was able to assemble them by myself. The box they came in was the perfect assistant.The instructions said not to tighten anything until it was fully assembled, so that is what I did.I ended up with a rock solid chair that has virtually no spring to it whatsoever.I am very impressed by the quality of the parts, the powder coated finish (unreal!) and the quality of the hardware supplied to assemble it. Lock nuts everywhere insure it will never loosen up.This is not a “Use one summer and throw it away” piece of furniture.It will be around loong after I am gone, and I suspect it will easily give decades of service. The powder coating is the icing on the cake.

These chairs feel very sturdy. The metal is about the same thickness as the vintage set of clam chairs that I have. The powder coat feels like it will be very durable. Assembly was quick and easy. If you’re going to put them together alone, you should have a ratchet strap on hand as you have to squeeze the legs together to get the seat screws in. I believe the tension on the legs is necessary keep the center piece of the leg structure tight. Very happy with this purchase. It sure beats spending months finding a used vintage set and taking the time to restore them.

Vintage Style, but not made to last
I really like the look of these chairs. Very comfortable too. Easy to assemble, however, 2 people are definitely needed. Seems well made and durable for the price. Perfect for my Shabby Chic outdoor area.UPDATE: After only 6 weeks of use, one of the chairs collapsed/bent while our guest was sitting in it. (Chair pictured on right). I contacted the seller, but they informed me I should have contacted them within 30 days of purchase. I don’t own a crystal ball, so I guess I’m stuck with a broken chair. Due to lack of customer service and willingness to resolve the problem or offer replacement parts, I’m changing my original 5-star rating to a 3-star.
