So far so good.
So far works well but the cold weather is still to come. The birds are enjoying having a place to drink. Hopefully it will be as enjoyable for them when the temps get down to the teens and subzero. So far the coldest temps have been in the 2o’s so not a real test of it yet.

Nice product
The decal is so ugly and unnecessary! But the animals don’t care! Works lovely here in chilly NE Ohio.

Sturdy, Easy to Clean and popular with the birds
***Update****After 5 months, the pole rusted and broke when trying to lift it out of the ground to move to a new location. Put the bath on the ground now.*****Cons (barely any!)*the cord is short so it is set up next to the house (but up against a window for easy viewing). You are not supposed to plug this into an extension cord.*The little sticker in the center of the tray does peel and flake off into the water.Pros:* Not too deep, shallow enough for smaller birds. You can add some flat rocks if you like.* holes around the rim provide easy perching*sturdy base (4 prong, not just 2 prong) keeps it secure and upright. As long as it’s level it retains water. I keep a jug of water by the door to top off the water as it naturally evaporates*optional spot to wrap up and store the cord under the rim of the dish in the summer months*BEST PART – the dish is NOT screwed into the base like similar heated bird baths. This makes it easy to lift off for cleaning. There are little nubs under the dish to hold it in place on the base, just turn/shift it to pick the dish up and out of the base. These nubs are also were you can snap the cord in for summer storage.I have had this for half of December and all of January so far with freezing, sometimes zero degree weather for days in a row, and snow storms and it has never iced over.I added a water wiggler to attract the attention of the birds. Even though there is a creek 200ft away, the birds love to come drink from this heated bird bath. It is close to the feeders. Bluebirds, Northern Flickers, Blue Jays, goldfinches … birds of all sizes use it so far.

I bought a second one!
I liked this so much I got a second one to use in the backyard. The birds seem to like it too. It kept the water from freezing all winter. Now in the summer I just leave it unplugged. It’s easy to clean.

Keeps the water from freezing.
Bought this for last winter. It kept the water from freezing. The birds love it. I read if you feed the birds you should have a water source. I have a different one for the warmer months.

Would Not Recommend
Purchased 2 of these bird baths, one was a gift. The first one would often totally freeze up even though the outdoor temps were 20s-30s. It was useless so I was offered a refund to return it. The 2nd one I retrieved from a relative as it was a gift. I had it plugged in for about one hour and it too is almost solid ice. It is cold today, single digits (F) but it’s suppose to be for winter outdoors! My electrical outlet is secure and active. Both of these bird baths were a total waste of money. Will request a refund now for the 2nd one. UPDATE: Upon return of the 1st item, I was charged $11.00 because it was not in a “new/unused” condition . I returned it because it was defective. The water in it kept freezing making it useless. I will report the company to Amazon. DO NOT BUY

Edited to add: decal is coming off. Really doesn’t need it anyway.Nice bright blue. Pieces went together easily and without needing tools.Has a bird motif in the bottom.Edged with circular holes -maybe for the birds to hang on to.The plastic looks brittle so we will see how it stands up to a Canadian winter.

We like it so far! Its about the quality you’d expect for $60cad. Everything is made inexpensively, but the manufacturing quality is totally acceptable. The stand is rigid, and the dish, while it is plastic, should deal.with the weather. There is a large cheap decal of a bird in the middle of the water dish, and it looks like it was applied by a blind child, lol. It looks like they put it off center, and then pushed it to straighten it and smeared adhesive behind it. Its ugly, but it’ll be filled with water, seeds and bird 💩 anyways, so its not a big deal. Its actually kind of hilarious that someone thought this was somehow an improvement on what seems like a decent product. We haven’t ran the heater yet. I’ll adjust my review next month if the heater doesn’t work as described.

I had made a heated birdbath using a 100watt incandescent lightbulb. I only had to refill the plate every second day. But since the advent of LEDs I turned to other solutions. This bath is nice and solid. Easy to install and looks good but the product’s description mentions a Thermostatically Controlled heater. There is no actual temperature control nob. Probably just a microchip inside the plate. Anyway I don’t believe it to be working properly. The average temperature here in winter daytime is -10 degrees Celsius. The water in the birdbath is always steaming and evaporates in no time at all. It needs to be refilled before the day is done. The heat as also slightly warped the bottom of the plate probably due to the fact that it ran dry.A nice feature would be to add temp control via bluetooth and cellphone app.
