Very cute table runner. Soft, thicker material and well made. I actually bought it for my kitchen table – didn’t like it there (it didn’t match how I thought it would) but I tried it in my living room and I ended up keeping it. I love it! I haven’t washed it yet, but it seems like the kind of material that will be durable and won’t wrinkle in the wash.

Subtle farmhouse style to tie in all your neutral colors
I received this table runner today, and I’m pleasantly surprised at the quality of the product for the price. The shades of black and cream make it versatile in my farmhouse style dining space, and the texture and fringe provide visual interest. It is very soft and flexible, not stiff at all. It is medium thickness – not cheap or thin, but not so thick that your decor will wobble when perched upon it. Some reviewers have mentioned the smell of it, so I was curious what it would smell like. When I first took it out of the package, it did have a bit of a chemical smell, but the smell was literally gone within an hour. If you have major concerns about toxins and odors, then you probably shouldn’t be buying a $9 table runner that was likely manufactured overseas. But if you’re looking for a bargain on a surprisingly nice quality product, then I think you’ll be happy. See my video review for visual details. Caveat: I took off one star because mine has a couple of loose threads. For the price, I’m not phased. If I had paid $50, I might be annoyed. But for what I paid, I’m willing to overlook it and be quite content with it! And now when I’m tired of it, I will feel free to change it out for something else, and I won’t have to worry about how much I paid for it. Therefore, I’m happy on all accounts. Success!

Very sad to say, that this product arrived relatively quickly BUT sweating in its packaging, greasy and stinking of petrol/diesel. Glad I opened immediately, put it straight into a bucket with laundry detergent and the soap water looked like mud very quickly. Rinsed and immediately washed again, because the smell was still horrendous and water so dirty. Have now washed with 2 laundry detergents in a bucket, and also Fairy liquid (thought his might get the greasiness out of the fibres after heavy duty laundry detergents couldn’t shift the smell) and also tried a huge box of baking soda. We then moved to the washing machine (was refraining as I didn’t want to loose the shape/fibre strength) using a solvent remover (Spray n Wipe), but even that has not taken the pungent deep smell away. This was not a small odour, but a permeating toxic fuel smell that has clearly come from the source of manufacturing. This runner is pretty, looks as described, however it did not arrive in a state that could be kept inside your home, let alone placed on a table with food. I’ve had to throw it away after 5 washes, it couldn’t be saved or used. Hugely disappointed, and hope that the supplier will speak with manufacturer to ensure this does not happen to other customers. I had purchased other colour matching table items to go with this runner (eg: this was the centrepiece) and now I don’t have this item to pull it all together. If you are going to try buying this, order it first, and if yours comes in an appropriate condition then build around it. I buy a lot online, as I live in Asia and buy a lot across the region/world and this was my first really bad experience and negative review. Be warned, this product was not fit for sale.

Bought it with another Dil throw blanket n the smell doesn’t come off . It’s like mildew was woven right into it !!
