Excellent Replacement Cushions
These are more a 4.75 stars for me. I have a 10+ year old Allen+Roth patio set needing new cushions mostly because the hot Bakersfield sun had hardened the fabric, and they were water-stained from years of wet bathing suits. The cushions themselves were losing their support, but the back pillows had piping and a button and were fancy. Originally I special ordered the Allen+ Roth replacement cushions from Lowes in dark teal, and the seat cushions collapsed in two days, the backs overstuffed. Returned and tried another set, same thing, but 4 days to collapse. Most other stores had same issue in their reviews for this price range, and Costco didn’t have replacement cushions. These cushion sets from Amazon had excellent reviews for the seat cushion being firm and supportive, what we were looking for, at $30 less than the set of four we returned. They arrived a day early, well boxed and individually vacuum sealed. The color is accurate, the material very sturdy, and though the instructions say 72 hours to fully puff out, these pictures are less than 24 hours, and the cushions are to 4-1/2″ high. So far, the seats are deliciously firm, as wanted. They squeeze firmly into the furniture and stay in place – no slipping around as the old ones did. The back pillows are about an inch or so shorter than expected, and too soft, but have a long zipper for adding foam or padding material. The ties are very long – perfect for securing loosely, but the sewing is a bit unraveled on the seam of some ties. No biggie. I love that the covers are all removeable (easily) to be washed, and I am exceptionally pleased with the cushion sets. Yes they are made in China, but the quality is remarkable, much superior to the big box stores. Ten stars for Amazon on this purchase. ok this is an update 7/28/25. The seats did get a bit thicker, still very firm, but that’s ok. The backs never got any thicker or firmer, so I ended up taking the batting out of some decorative pillow inserts and spreading one in each back cushion, which did make them comfortable with lumbar support, but also made them shorter, with pointy ends. Not great, but as long as I didn’t have to spend any more money, we are enjoying them and they are still staying put in the chairs and loveseat. The last two pictures are from the updated review.

Solid cushions but backs need sturdier fill
I got these cushions last week and was excited to replace my old, torn, worn our patio cushions with something brighter and hopefully more durable–but most importantly, washable!The fabric is solid. Seems very sturdy and the seams seem to be sewn reliably. The zipper seems a wee bit on the cheap side, but we’ll see how they hold up after removing the slip covers to wash them at the end of the season.I gave the set 4 stars overall primarily because the back cushions are *not* 5″ thick as advertised. They may expand to 5 inches when you take them out of their vacuum-sealed bags, but when you sit back on them, they compact down to about two inches. If you get these because you catch them on sale, take the extra money and buy better, thicker, sturdier filling for the back cushions.The bottom (seat) cushions are fantastic. Thick, sturdy, firm foam to support you in comfort. They have just enough give so as not to be like a cheap, uncomfortable couch in a doctor’s office waiting room.The colors are nice and bright, and hopefully won’t run in the wash. I’m sure they’ll wind up sun bleached, but I’m ok with that rather than cheap dye coming out in my washer.
