Blackout Grommet Drapes
This is my first time buying and experiencing white Blackout Grommet Drapes, I usually buy Rod Pockets. I wanted a long drape to cover my French doors for added privacy. When I purchased, they were under $9 per drape, I purchased and hung 2 pairs (4 drapes). Grommet drapes are faster and easier to install than rod pocket curtains. These drapes do not have a separate backing. Shadows can be seen through these drapes, but they serve their blackout purpose from the sun. I have not noticed noise cancellation with these drapes. I do not regret purchasing these white blackout drapes. They’re serving a color scheme purpose, blackout is a bonus. The fabric quality is nice. If you’re wanting a blackout purpose, choose another color other than white. These pics were taken on a full sun day in July with 12:30pm sunlight. Enjoy

Exactly as described.
We are using the curtains for a completly other use. After my mom’s suicide I inhereted a fourth furry member of our family. They come in for lunch and a nap at 1:00,then dinner and bedtime at 9:00. They all have specific sleeping areas, and hers became the 1/2 bath and carpeted entryway to it off the family room. We needed a way for her to not be distracted seeing us moving around. After trying a sheet I bought these and no light comes in or goes our. They are perfect and she is happy with naptime and bedtime.

These are nice but do not block out the sun
I need 4 more panels but for whatever reason I am not allowed to. I think these are really nice and very soft. The material is very nice and thick the grommets are a darker color which I like rather than the silver color usually added. I am moving into a new home and need new curtains and I have bought similar curtains for my current home and love them. But my living room has 4 windows (I at first thought I only had 2 windows) so only got 4. But after checking the house again realized my mistake and tried to buy more. Instead I have had to go to another vendor to buy 8 curtains. Hopefully they are just as nice. I may have to return these waiting to see how it will look in one of the bedrooms before I make a decision. Since I have not yet hung them up I can’t say how well they block the light but the others I have like these they are pretty effective in keeping the sun out and also they keep the warmth in. Will update more if I do keep them.UPDATE: The white ones do not block out the sun much at all. My front two windows get direct sun and it gets very hot in the summer. I had to go to another curtain that actually was a blackout curtain to help keep the sun out. The other two windows I have left these curtains on as it lets in so much light that my plants are thriving it just isn’t a direct hit from the sun so I don’t need to block all the sunlight. Still the curtains are nice enough just don’t expect any sun blockage from the white ones. They do allow for privacy though.

Great value
I ordered white, so I pretty much knew that they weren’t going to black out the room, and they don’t. However, they do a sufficient job! They darken the room plenty. They are a good weight, therefore do a sufficient job of keeping the heat/cold out. I ordered white and the color is good. No gray or blue tones and doesn’t look at all dingy. It is a true, crisp white and the fabric is good with a nice texture. They were creased, of course, from shipping. I’ll admit that I have not steamed them yet, but I feel confident, due to the fabric, that they should steam out just fine. You cannot beat the quality for the price!

Not really blackout curtains
While they block a good bit of light, they still fall short on “blackout”. The coverage is good for a double window (42in x 84in (3)). But I will be returning these because they fall short of the term “blackout”.

Wonderful, but you need 2 panels.
These curtains are exactly as they describe and the color is an exact match to the picture of navy. If you have a standard normal size window I would recommend you get 2 panels for each window, or resort to using thumb tacks or pins to hold the sides down. We originally ordered only 2 and put one on each of our 2 living room windows, and they did block out most of the sun in the main part of the curtain. The only thing was the sun coming through on the sides of the windows. So we ended up receiving 2 more panels and put 2 on each window and boy did it make a difference!!!The difference is astounding. We live in an apartment on the 2nd (top) floor in Texas and late in the afternoon to sunset, during the summer months, our place gets hot. I mean even with our a/c running all day when we are gone, we come home from work and it is, no joke, 85 degrees in our place. These curtains have darken the place immensely and keep it cooler.We are now looking into getting curtains for our sliding door, just maybe a lighter color. We don’t want it too get too dark inside!
