Finally I can compete with the rest of my neighbors for most beautiful decoratively home competition that exists in my neighborhood subdivision and more so in my head. So first: in case you were wondering: NO they really meant you can’t add additional segments, no matter how creative you try to be. Get it through your head and don’t do it bThe light quality is enough to make your equally decoration obsessed ancestors proud and the neighbors envy you. The rgb color and lumen capacity are absolutely incredible. They are simply stunning, have really seamless integration between channels of lights and come with enough lights to make any home bright. They are functional for all holidays, but especially the ones that matter: Christmas and any others for your friendly neighborly outdoor lighting competitions. The length of the connection cables were not my favorite. I would’ve preferred 16ft cables to travel on more awkward places on my roof and provide more slack for my install. But for a 37 year old mom and wife who doesn’t exercise with much regularity—this is as seamless as you can get, and I can’t wait to brag to my doctor that I did this by myself, before she gets a chance to remind me of my bmi. The lights have waterproof caps for ends of connections and at all connection points.Govee is expensive. I know. But it’s the best. Just think of all admiration you’ll get for your beautiful uplift home! Buy them!!

Instant Curb Appeal
Purchased the 100ft Govee Permanent Outdoor Version 2.Direction state to install the lights pucks 10 cm or about 3″ away from house. I cut a 3″ block of wood to help stick on the pucks uniformly.I know the 3M will eventually fail here in Dusty West Texas, so I purchased a cable stapler and the 1/2 cable Staples. The cable is 5/16 thick ribbon cable, so go with the Black 1/2″ staples if you want to staples the light wires.I watched alot of videos, one guy that installs the govee alot says 4″ away from house is the sweet spot.Note: If you get this cable boss stapler, be sure to keep cable on both sides in the cable guide on stapler. Keep stapler flat.Purchased a weather protection box on Amazon to store power supply and controller.I was able to do the front and North side with the 100 ft kit.I have a small 1115 sq ft house.If…. I had 2 story I would have purchase the PRO version to be able to cut and splice to jump to 2nd floor.Very happy with these Govee Permanent lights. The leader in house lighting.

Goodbye to hanging Christmas lights!
Fairly easy to install, id say the hardest part was the dormers, but id argue thats just because my roof is on the steeper side. The screens that come with the brackets don’t work all that well. I used a standard screw and it worked a lot better. When installing id recommend placing a light directly in the middle of a peak, otherwise, the lights look a little funky. The govee app has a ton of options to select from and allow you to set a timer for them. I’d highly recommend this product for anyone who is looking for a cheaper alternative to something like jellyfish lights.

Put up for halloween of 25 have to say they were a big hit. The only issue i have is that the screws for the clips. Which I love by the way, are just a pain in the ????. Get some white or colored sheet rock screws . The 3m tape sticks good when surface is cleaned with alcohol. The govee ap has tons of presets.you will.enjoys these. Govee 2 lights

love the lights i bought the 150’ so for just installed the end up buying the clips to help keep the lights up. My biggest problem is i did not realize that you can not add another section to it

Awesome lights and even better modified for WLED
These work really well and are compatible (with modifications) with WLED controllers. I currently use a meanwell 36v psu and a Dig Uno controller and it’s been great for automation. With this combo, you can achieve a much brighter light , brighter then the pro series? Adhesive is okay, I ended up stapling everything up so I didn’t need to worry about it.

Don’t let their paid promotion videos on other platforms fool you to make you think they’re a super simple diy install. Because they’re not. I’m a roofer.. I have a small 1 story house. This was a difficult task.That being said. These lights are super bright, Awesome colors. They’re clearly made with quality in mind. I live in one of the most rainy, windy spots in north America and I have 100% confidence that they will last. The app is super user friendly.Conclusion. It’s not as easy as they make it look to install but I would absolutely do it again
