FIRE HAZARD
UPDATE**I began to notice just a few days ago that the mirror light started flickering and would not work on occasion. This morning while getting ready, I noticed the light kept going out on me and I had to unplug it a couple of times. Finally, after getting it to stay on and finishing my make up, I felt the back of the unit to unplug it and noticed that the cord was so hot it had literally melted the casing over the usb plug to the point it was soft and pliable. I immediately unplugged it and I’m glad I noticed this one I did otherwise it could’ve burned my house down. This is scary and I would advise you to buy another product. Cheap does not equal quality or safety. Sadly I would pay more for a well made mirror but it seems all makeup mirrors now fall within the this category of cheap and disposable.I’ve used this mirror for a few weeks I and am very pleased. My last makeup mirror’s lighted panel died so I was forced to replace it but wanted something a little larger. The old mirror was cordless and rechargeable, which seemed great, but often let me down in terms of longevity and brightness. This is much larger, brighter and more convenient to have a plug in light ready to go at any time. It’s true that I can’t travel with this mirror, but the quality, price and size make up for that disadvantage.
