These totes are not very good
I ordered a total of 8 of these totes earlier this month in preparation for a move and when they arrived several of them were broken. The reason they broke so easily is because they are not made of good rubberized plastic but hard plastic instead. There are no handles either, you have to grip the tote using the edge of it and after a day of moving my fingertips are wrecked, also the locking latch for the lid comes undone as soon as you pick one up as there is no handle so when you grab it it pops the lid, super annoying. These things would be semi okay to store light stuff but don’t think you are going to put books or anything in them and move them around easily because you won’t be able to without having them break in your hands.

2 of the lids came broken. Nothing some tape can’t fix, however when you’re paying $25 a bin, it’s more principle than anything. The lids don’t exactly “lock”, so the middle part stays open if anything is larger than the top and the sides to close. Minor issues, thin plastic. For a cheaper price, stick with the black and yellow construction bins and buy a label maker. Cheers

The size of the container is good, not too big, not too small, however, it’s a bit flimsy for its size. The lock feature doesn’t latch as well as the smaller containers by the same manufacturer.One of my containers is broken, so I have 3 good ones instead of 4. I would possibly buy again, but may try to just use the smaller containers, since the locking feature is much better. Thanks –

Defective product
These totes are very costly for what they are. We spent quite a bit of time shopping around and researching reviews and so forth prior to purchasing these as it is imperative that the totes are properly sealed. The totes are all in good condition and seem heavy duty and they will do the job for what we bought them for. What is disappointing is that one of the lids is missing a clasp which is very much needed and why we purchased these in the first place. These are enormous totes and they cost roughly $23 a piece. We tried to get a hold of the manifold and have not yet been able to. I gladly change my review to being more positive if they get us a new lid in a timely fashion that has both clasps on it. I maintain that they are way overpriced, though, but are good quality with the exception of the missing clasp.We have tried contacting the manufacturer and were told they needed pictures and the product number which we provided, but they have not sent any new lids or replacement parts. I would do zero stars if that was an option. These totes are way overpriced and we could have gotten 6 larger totes at Walmart that clasp on all 4 sides for the same price as the 4 pf these that only have 2 claps, and 2 of the lids are missing claps that we haven’t received, nor have we gotten any more responses from the manufacturer.

Broken and missing parts:original order and replacement order
The original order had cracked lids and was returned. Replacement order arrived today with missing latches for the lid. It is only one lid and I would just like to get the latches replaced and not return the entire order, but there is nowhere to request this on Amazon where the order came through. Disappointing to have 2 shipments and problems with both. However, contacting the manufacturer on the second issue resulted in positive outcomes. IRIS was more than happy to replace the latches and, in fact, suggested replacing the entire lid as the latches are difficult to install. So the customer service rep, Andrea, at IRIS made things right and at no cost to me. Thank you.

Bins fine but one arrived cracked. Too big and unwieldy to return so will make do with 3.

The bins are a great size! Though 2 were smashed in the shipping processI almost didn’t get a replacement or even a refund as its hard for me to reach the postal office (no bus system can reach me, I would have to pay a cab $$$), but after talking it out with amazon, we got them replaced no problem!
