100% plastic – not cloth one sided
This is plastic on top and bottom. There is no cloth. This is basically a plastic table cloth, so definitely waterproof. It is a nice size for two adults to sprawl eating a picnic dinner and while watching an evening symphony performance. The grass got wet and dewy, but we stayed dry – which is the reason we bought the blanket.I was initially upset that the blanket does not contain a soft fabric. I do think the description should be changed so people know what they are getting.

No regrets buying this one!
This is a wonderful outside blanket! Is very compact when folded which is impressive because it’s a great size! I let my infant lay on the blanket when my older two are playing outside! My family of five can fit on it! It’s a great color! There is no weird smell! It folds easily! You can shake it to greet grass off of it and use a baby wipe to clean messes! It’s a very easy blanket to clean and take care of that is great for outside use! My kiddos and I are comfortable on it! This is a great value for the money!

Works but not comfortable
It’s a good size, sturdy, compact, and cheap. So what you get is just fine, I will say though this is a “mat” not a “blanket”. There’s nothing soft or comfortable about it, I’ll plan on taking a real blanket and putting it down over this when I go to use it.Not a make or break problem, just kind of meh.
