Very Bright Perfect for my Needs!
I love OTT lights as they are designed to duplicate sunlight and have a positive affect on health for many people, especially better for your eyes. I admit this one is not as sturdy as others with one tricky part. I easily returned the first one because they is a plastic ring thing you throw away. I guess, that protects the threads you screw together. (the instructions never mention it!) The cord inside the pole itself, you plug into the top part with the Light, was not all the way up so I could plug it in on the first light.. The second one is fine. However, IF you move it around, you will need to Tape around the place you pop on the top part …..because it will simply unplug and come off….as others have mentioned. If you leave it in one place, then it is not a problem. A piece of electricians tape a couple times around would do the trick I think.Working the light preferences takes a little practice reading the manual and I finally figured it out. Totally lights a dark corner where I had an earlier Ott light and a table one, however, reading was still not easy. This light on bright solved all of that!! It has the new LED bulbs and it is so much Easier on my eyes using the computer, drawing and reading books! I am very happy with this new light, despite the little challenges at first!.

Great light!
I have low vision and use this light when crafting. It is bright & light can be adjusted to warmer or brighter. It’s a perfect height for sitting and height can be adjusted as needed. Very lightweight so I can easily move it to where I’m crafting. High quality and highly recommend!

Ott lights are high quality
I bought this as reading and utility light to sit next to my wife’s recliner. I bought it because I have had other Ott lights over the years, and found them very reliable, they last for years. The style is unobtrusive and will work with many furniture styles. The goose neck is easily and endlessly adjustable. The dimmer on the light is not intuitive and will take a little practice before you get the hang of it. Just steadily hold the on/off/dim switch down, releasing when you have the brightness you want. After you’ve figured it out it will be fine, and you can easily move from very bright light to very dim and relaxing illumination.

Varying brightness, flexible neck for positioning.
I love this light in my sewing area. The large head casts light over the work space and can be positioned at varying levels and angles for seated work. It has a wonderful on/off switch that only requires a brush of your hand on the upright pole to activate. Holding this switch for a moment will dim or brighten the light. The electrical cord attaches to the base easily and I can disconnect and move the lamp away, for vacuuming, etc. ) without crawling around at the wall outlet to unplug it.

Great light but a slightly too tall and dimmer not easy
Assembly was very simple, just screw together pole, attach bottom screw on base, and slip on top. Seems a bit tall for next to a chair. Adjustable means bending the goose-neck angle, not sliding a height adjustment, so you had better like a 51″ height. The lamp really does have a dimming function, just very different from my other OttLite. Instead of repeatedly touching the switch, need to maintain contact to ramp up to desired brightness. So actually infinite brightness range, not three as stated in the description. Maybe that’s better? Returns to previous dimming setting when turned off and back on. Light quality seems very good — standard OttLite quality even though it uses LEDs.

SHAME ON OTTLITE MANUFACTURER
I had one of the first OttLite floor lamps, and it’s worked great now for many years until I tripped on the cord, pulled it down, and the pole broke in half. I still might try to fix it. As for this floor lamp, I was shocked at the poor quality of the lamp. The pole is wobbly and feels like it could turn over if you sneezed! if necessary, I will look at other brands.
