Good height, sturdy construction, complimentary color, and easy assembly!
This was an easy assembly. Took us about 30 mins to complete. I lined the bottom with an empty greenstalk box, which is compostable, then filled it with 8 bags of soil and 8 bags of compost, alternating bags and layering, ending with compost. Amended the soil with worm castings and a balanced fertilizer. I planted a ton of bulbs and added bone meal, watered it in, munched with straw, and a final watering to keep the straw from blowing away. So far, the bed is holding strong! No bowing, and the height is a salute to my back and knees! I’m satisfied with this raised bed and I’m looking forward to many years of beautiful flowers growing in this bed! A wood-look metal planter that should last for years!!
I ordered two sets of the 2′ x 4′ x 2′ wood-look metal planters + a 3-pack of 2′ round x 2′ high ones to fill in a spot in our back yard. Two bad ice storms in three years took half of our shade trees and then the Texas sun took our beautiful shade loving ground cover. So – lets try some raised planters?!There are some very good things about these planters and a couple (IMHO) minor flaws. The metal has a very good wood pattern and, with the cross braces in the middle of the long sides, seems sturdy enough. I have put about 50 # of stone in the bottoms for drainage and to hold the planter placement – the little bent metal “spikes” meant for the corners are not adequate. Additionally, there was approximately 280# of compost, manure and raised bed planting soil added to each rectangle.Putting the rectangles together is quite easy – I would recommend using a table or bench to work on – my 74 y.o. knees were not up to building on our deck! The panels go together easily but be careful of the slightly rolled (knife-like) edges where they were sheared from the rolls of steel! Gloves are provided for hand protection BUT someone needs to know that most men cannot use such small gloves!! I found the provided screw driver adequate but used a larger one from my tool box for comfort. I would also recommend using an adjustable wrench or “crescent” wrench to tighten the interior wing nuts to a good hold. Speaking of the screws – I pre-painted all 342 screw heads used on the planters with a dark brown Rust-Oleum paint. The bright shiny screws showing against the dark brown of the planters was not my idea of a finished product!Not counting the painting/drying time for the screw heads – I took about 1-1/2 hours to remove the thin (pain in the A$$) plastic wrapping from the metal panels and assemble each of the 2′ x 4′ x 2′ planter boxes. About 45 minutes for each of the 2′ round units. I even found that, with some effort, I could put two of the round ones together to be a 2′ high unit which fits nicely among the 2′ x 4’units.Overall, I like these planters and am much happier with them than any of the various colored or galvanized ones I had looked at previously on Amazon. AND, “she who must be obeyed” is very happy too!!Dennis in Austin, TX

Perfect raised bed
These are the perfect size for a raised bed. I purchased 2 of these. They were a bit difficult to put together on my own, as you need help holding the panels up when assembling them, so I would suggest two people to assemble. The instructions were simple to follow. Not much assembly other than nuts and bolts, a tad tedious. They have held up well thru the summer months and I’m sure the same will be true for the cold winter months. This is a purchase I would make again.

Quality raised beds
These garden beds are serving us really good. Quality is very nice. They are not flimsy and they are holding up the soil nicely. Assembly did not take long and was pretty easy. The look of it as well is beautiful! It matched the skirting of our home. It is deep and just the right size for what we need. We will definitely buy these same ones if we need more garden raised beds.

Caution! Quality Varies Widely
There is a special room in Hell (or Severance) exclusively dedicated to assembling these raised garden beds. There are SEVENTY TWO screw/wing nuts to fasten PER bed and those screws/wing nuts are not even sorted. And yes — the sheet metal IS sharp. So sharp that they now include work gloves to wear whilst assembling them. However if you wear the gloves it makes getting a grip on the wing nut impossible and so you have to choose between safety/cutting yourself of spending 6x longer trying to get the wingnut to latch onto the screw.I bought 3 total beds. One single and one 2-pack of the 4x2x2 beds.Once these are assembled they look okay — except the 2 pack is significant lower quality than the single bed. Firstly, the faux-wood siding is multiple, noticeably different shades. By the time I realized this the beds were already assembled and the idea of disassembling and reassembling them was something I could not have been paid to do. Also, the brackets provided with the single bed to secure the beds into the ground are at least 4x larger/more sturdy than the 2-pack brackets.The beds do bloat/warp a bit in the middle once planted, but so far no major leakage. The 2-pack see to warp more as well. They function well overall and hold a decent amount of soil for deep roots. We are obviously keeping them (because who would want to take them apart to return them??)TLDR: These are torturous to assemble. Only buy the single beds, not the multi-packs.

Sturday garden boxes
I haven’t started planting yet, but these seem to be sturdy garden boxes. Assembly is easy, but I gave up on peeling all the protective film. They are thin and not easy to peel, and I don’t see any harm in leaving them on.
