Will it work on cloudy days?
Yes, absolutely. Its built-in battery backup stores solar power, allowing it to run continuously on overcast days. A full charge also provides up to 6 hours of runtime after sunset.
How do I clean it?
It’s simple. Every 1-2 weeks, wipe the basin clean with fresh water. To maintain the pump, lift it out, open the bottom cover, and rinse the filter pad. This ensures optimal performance and a healthy environment for birds.
What happens if the water runs out?
To protect the motor, our pump has a smart low-water protection feature that will automatically shut it off to prevent damage from running dry.
Is it heavy? Can I hang it anywhere?
Lighter than traditional ceramics, making it easy to mount on a stand or pole. For extra security in windy areas, we strongly recommend using the included screw to anchor it firmly to the mount.

Watching the fountain from my easy chair.
I enjoy the fountain through my front window but….., my birds that come to the feeder seem to be afraid of it. The have yet to see them drinking or bathing in it. So… I will just enjoy watching the fountain from my lounge chair.🤷♀️.The water lasts a long time. The fountain doesn’t seem to need direct sun at all times. Even on cloudy days the solar fountain works. All in all I have NO BUYERS REMOURSE!

Fun to look at and functional for the birds
This RichBird solar bird bath fountain checks a lot of boxes for me—easy setup, cute color (I got the moss green), and the birds actually started using it within a couple of days. I have it freestanding right now, but love that I could hang it if I switch things up. The little solar-powered fountain adds a nice ambient trickle sound and the battery backup helps it keep going even when the sun dips behind the trees in the afternoon. It’s light, so if you get strong wind gusts, definitely weigh it down or anchor it. Overall a great addition to the patio.

Nice solar bird fountain- birds don’t think so yet
No birds yet – i sat it on my bird bath – the birds just stayed in the bigger bath but never used this. i moved it to a hanging area but i haven’t noticed any birds there too. I wish more water would stay in the reservoir on top so little birds could bath in it. i’ll keep it up longer. It’s well made but needs a tweak in the design.

Hummingbirds love it
Just recently set it up, but so far I absolutely love it. Very convenient, easy to use, turns itself off automatically when the sun goes down. I tried the medium fountain nozzle first, and I had several birds checking it out, but no one stopped. So I switched to the gurgling bubbler nozzle instead, and the next day I had hummingbirds stopping to drink.

Automatically turns on fountain in day and off at night or off when low on water
This bird bath with fountain is fabulous:1) I love that it is solar powered. So there is no cords and no batteries to mess with. Plus, without a cord, that let me hang it up in a tree far away from power outlets.2) It came with options for how to put it up. Its got a hole in the bottom for a pole with a screw to tighten it. For now, I’m trying the hanging in a tree approach. We already have water baths for the birds that sit on the ground or the railing on our deck so this is great that we can put water out in a totally new location for them.3) I was surprised to realize that it started moving, spouting water, in the morning when the sun came out but that later at night it stopped.4) It comes with three different nozzles that are easy to snap on. Each one makes the water come out differently.5) The information provided says that the motor has a sensor in it and that it won’t run when the water level is low. This is fantastic because now I don’t have to worry about letting it run dry and ruining the motor if it’s been dry and I’ve been too busy (or lazy) to refill it.It is hard to think of any way to improve this; it really is excellent as is. But, if I were brainstorming, I’d say that it could have a deeper reservoir of water on top for the birds who like to take baths in it. It is fairly shallow. If you have little birds, though, having it shallow might be best actually. And, I would also love it if it were bigger overall, a larger diameter just so that more birds could fit on it at one time and I’d not have to fill it as often when it’s dry outside.

Big Birdie Bubbler Bath
The solar-powered fountain bird bath is about 10″ in diameter, about the size of a hanging basket of flowers. The base is sturdy, and the top portion, which is the solar fountain, sits securely on the base without any screws or clips. No tools are needed at all to put together or use the bird bath. It’s really easy to take off the lid to fill. But when you put the top back on, the hollow pegs on the underside of the fountain have to line up with the 4 smaller pegs on the base, so it can be a little tricky to do while the bird bath is hanging. You can, however, also fill the reservoir slowly through the drain holes in the top.I installed the “gentle shower” nozzle, but the set also includes 2 other nozzles, the bubbler and the multi-stream sprinkler. ,It was tempting to use the bubbler nozzle, because it was here in Wisconsin that the Kohler Company coined the term and marketed a “bubbling valve” for water. It was a type of brass valve designed to create a continuous upward flow of water, which gave rise to the term “bubbler.” Most of the U.S. says drinking fountain, but in Wisconsin and a few other small areas in the U.S. and Australia we say “Bubbler”. Anyway, I still thought the gentle shower was better for the local avian community.I hung the fountain, and in less than an hour of hanging in the sun, it was charged and flowing. Instead of hanging, the bird bath can also be set on a flat surface or attached to a pole. A screw is included to secure it (sorry, no pole included). There are 3 extra filter sponges, which is nice because the filter will get clogged with sediment and other gooey organic stuff. The filters can be reused – you only need to remove them from the filter area and every one to two weeks and rinse with clean water until any residue is washed away.I’m excited to see if the fountain bird bath can attract some birds to our deck. We have such a good time seeing new species when they pay us a visit. The price seems awfully high, as compared to other similar birdbaths, so I took off 1 star. Otherwise, this is an eco-friendly, functional watering station for your feathered friends.
