This is a very good fountain! Just buy stainless steel.
I had a plastic fountain that I bought a few years ago, and then I purchased that same one again a couple of weeks or so ago. I bought the new one, because I realized how gross it would be when I had to clean the old one. I thought buying the new one would solve my problem, but it didn’t. I had the same problem with it. When I would go to clean that fountain, you would find everything to be very slimy. Now when I think about it, it use to get like that back when, but I think I thought it was normal for cat fountains to get like that because of their saliva. We were cleaning the fountain once a week, changing the 2 filters, and we would clean the pump every 2 weeks. This didn’t seem to be enough, anymore, that is why I bought the new one, but I had the same problem. Bottom line is, this stainless steel fountain, and the construction of it, stop it from getting slimy and filthy. I had been running this one for 6 days, and I checked it out today, and there was absolutely no slime. These plastic fountains, and the way they are built, is why I think they do not clean as well. Do yourself a favor, and do not buy those plastic ones anymore. They are poorly constructed, and they do not do the job. Do your cat a favor, and buy them a stainless steel fountain. They will appreciate the much cleaner water. I highly recommend this product.

Quiet, well designed and the cats love it!
My 3 cats love this new fountain! I think it’s something about the shape of the stainless steel flower, it makes the water flow and bubble better than the old one with the plastic flower. Overall, it’s easier for the cats to drink from. The pump is quieter and smaller but it seems to work better at moving the water.My favorite feature is the water level window. With the previous fountain I had to lift it and judge how full it was by the weight, but no guessing now, I can clearly see when I need to add water, avoid running low and burning out the pump. It seems like the cats have been drinking more water since we got this fountain, as I’m refilling it more frequently than the old one. I am happy to see this since their primary diet is dry cat food. Drinking more water will be better for them! I also like that it’s a lower and wider profile, so by design it’s less likely to be knocked over and spilled.

Very Happy With This Purchase
I was hesitant to buy one of these, but I got tired of my cat constantly dipping her paw in the water bowls to stir the water. I later learned cats can’t see water, and the fountain significantly helps with this. I also liked the idea of stopping the growth and spread of bacteria. So, I finally decided to try one. This one had the highest reviews. The instructions were simple and assembly was easy. It took her about 24 hours to adjust to it, and now she loves it! No more dipping her paw in the water. It is super quiet, I actually check on it once a day to make sure it is still running because it is so quiet. Highly recommend it!!!

Recommended instead of other popular plastic fountains
I bought this fountain to replace another very popular plastic 3L fountain. This SS fountain has been working well for 2 months now. This is superior to the old fountain in that it’s not plastic (except for the pump), it’s quiet no matter how low the water level gets, you can see the water level on the side of the housing (which, because it’s lit, also acts a like a nightlight), the cats can’t leave claw marks on it anywhere, and it holds enough water for 3 cats but it isn’t big and clunky. My cats liked it as soon as I removed the SS flower attachment.I worry a bit about sturdiness of the plastic pump and filter parts attachment, while I’m cleaning it. Hopefully, being careful, nothing will break.My only minor complaint is that everything on the pump is white including the cord, and they sent a black adapter, which seems a bit ridiculous. I am using a small white block Apple adapter instead, which works just fine.Overall, recommended.

Very easy to set up. Only problem I see is that my cats can turn the top and it will knock the spout off of the pump. It would be a 5 star if the top had a latch of some sort.

La fontana è davvero bella, anche il rompigetto è d’acciaio e ciò è molto apprezzabile (in molti articoli simili questa parte è di plastica). Al momento funziona perfettamente ed è silenziosissima. L’abbiamo affiancata temporaneamente a quella di plastica che funzionava altrettanto bene ma non garantisce a mio giudizio sufficiente igiene. Dopo un paio di giorni di diffidenza i gatti hanno cominciato ad usarla quindi ora terremo la fontana vecchia solo come back up.Fino a qualche tempo fa era piuttosto difficile trovare una fontana d’acciaio ad un prezzo ragionevole, finalmente si può acquistare praticamente allo stesso prezzo di quella tradizionale.Ho letto alcune recensioni molto negative su questo stesso prodotto ma nel mio caso l’articolo è arrivato in condizioni ottime e per ora funziona in modo eccellente. E’ un po’ piccolina, per due gatti va ancora bene, ma non penso si possa usare per un cane se non di piccola taglia.I miei gatti ed io siamo soddisfatti per ora. Aggiornerò senz’altro la recensione se insorgeranno problemi.Una nota, perché nella descrizione Amazon non era chiarissimo. La fontana è corredata di cavo USB + adattatore per la presa di corrente domestica.

Really great product, easy to put together and solid enough to sit next to the cats food bowls without moving .A large 2 litre reservoir means that, for both cats, the necessity to re-fill is reduced. The unit is totally silent, however when the water level is low there was a slight hum, which alerts one to refill the reservoir.There is no doubt the cats prefer the fountain as the water is constantly changing thus remaining always fresh.A strong sturdy stainless steel unit with a simple to fit filter, simple instructions and I even received an option to get a box of 24 filters direct from the suppliers. as well as having a 24 month warranty on the pump. there is also a video available via a QR code which shows how to clean and maintain the pump.All in all, a perfect product to help keep out Tonkinese cats hydrated.Certainly highly recommended.
