Poor execution of a simple design
I ordered these to replace a broken one and wanted several to match throughout the home. The design is excellent. They look sturdy but only time will tell how well the weld holds. I am assuming they will last. A few tings I noticed in my search of these items. It seems as though there is one simple design that is offered by many, many companies. These may even be produced by one manufacturer and then resold by others. All of them only have a foam/rubber protector on one of the three sides that come in contact with the cabinet. They provide high quality 3M adhesive strips for the other two sides. The issue is (and this may only be me), that I don’t want to have stainless touching my solid maple custom cabinets. Nor do I want to glues these in place with the provided adhesive strips. It would seem simple enough to include a short piece or two of the same foam/rubber cushion for those who don’t want to glue these to a high quality wood surface. So, I have either glued dense foam core to the other two sides or used the adhesive but didn’t remove the top layer. My previous version was from the Container Store and had full lining on all three sides that came in contact with the wood. Should have returned these.

Virtually every home I have ever visited has one problem in the kitchen: where do you hang the bloody towels?Our home is no different.We use four types of towels:- dish drying towels used only to dry dishes- work towels used to handle pots, pans, clean cooking messes from the stove- counter towels to clean and dry counters- paper towels for messes that need to be cleaned quickly and don’t fit other uses and that should be disposed ofWe need places for these towels to go and hanging them on the doors of our new kitchen just didn’t seem the right thing to do.So we looked around to see what options existed and found these.PROS:* Cheap!* Light weight.* Feature grip-padding.* Brushed stainless steel.CONS:* Cheap! They look it upon close inspection, but they’re functional!* The grip-padding isn’t enough to prevent bar from sliding around. You could bend the frame, but then you’re likely to scratch your cabinet doors. For better performance, I just installed a 3M Command Strip on one side of the towel bar and attached to desired location. Done! No slipping!I would definitely recommend these to those needing a proper place to hang towels. We hung ours on the cabinet doors of the lazy Suzan and offset them to allow the door to open and close. Works like a charm!

Hooks over door fine, but gets easily knocked loose. Needs holes on back side of hook arm to screw in shallow hardware to keep in place.

These work great for keeping towels handy in the kitchen. They include foam tape to prevent slipping on the cabinet door. They look nice too!

Metal is a little bit thinner than I expected but it’s not like we’re hanging substantial weight on it. Works well and love that there’s 2 so we can use one for the dish towel and the other for the hand towel. The over door hooks were a little big for our cabinet but we just used small command strips to hold in place. Door still opens and closes nicely and love that I don’t have the towels on my dishwasher and oven handles anymore as we would get drip marks all over the floor and on our stainless steel appliances. Now they’re all conveniently in front of the sink.
