Still great after 8 years
We have had these for 8 years and have never regretted our purchase. These are sturdy! And with a nice pressure wash, they look brand new!We purchased a full set of these 8 years ago with several benches, chairs, side tables and coffee tables to create little living space zones on our deck.Pros- they look classy. We get compliments on them all the time-they are sturdy, but not incredibly heavy-they slide around easily on our trex deck for easy rearranging, without damaging the deck so far-lots of storage inside. I store toys, marshmallow roasters, gardening tools. (We still haven’t bought cushions for them yet.)-comfortable angle to sit on. The back is upright, but the seat declines in the back and it’s very comfortableCons:-they storage is not water tight. When it rains, water does get in a bit but it drains out the bottom sides. I haven’t tried storing cushions so I don’t know how that would affect those. I’m not sure if the middle ever gets wet.-Wasps love building their homes inside the lids and storage areas, which is not great.-They are somewhat lightweight and do slide around a little bit or sometimes tip over in a strong wind, but I think lots of patio furniture would. You could weigh each bench down with a sand bag and probably still have some storage room inside. I just don’t care that much. They’re easy to rearrange.-They do catch dirt and the grooves over time, but they clean up like new with a wash.

Outdoor Loveseat with Built-in Storage
We settled on this item while looking for a durable, poly-resin, outdoor loveseat with built-in storage and a fau-wicker look at a reasonable price. Real wicker doesn’t hold up well where we live and we didn’t want to cover the loveseat when not in use, so we ordered the Suncast Elements Loveseat in Java even though there weren’t any customer reviews at the time. Quite a leap for me as I rarely purchase an item with zero reviews. Amazon originally quoted five weeks to deliver with free prime shipping, but we received it one week. Thanks Amazon!The loveseat arrived on our doorstep in a rather large box clearly indicating what was inside and a “walmart, site to store” sticker on it, which I though was kind of funny considering we ordered it from Amazon. It came disassembled in seven pieces along with all the necessary bits to put it together minus a standard Philips head screwdriver. I opted to use a cordless drill to make securing the plastic pieces a bit easier, although a screwdriver would have worked just fine. We assembled it in about 20min and carried it out to the patio. When fully assembled, it’s very rigid and difficult to twist or bend; a nice, solid, piece of outdoor furniture.There’s easily enough room for two average size people with a seating area of a little over 41″ wide and 19″ deep. The loveseat doesn’t come with cushions, which the girlfriend prefers since now she can decide exactly what colors/designs she wants and they’ll go in the built-in storage when not in use. The built-in storage dimensions are 8″ high in the front 6″ high towards the rear (This offset is likely due to the leaned back seating position, which I find more comfortable) 41″ wide and 18″ deep. See my customer images for a visual.Pros:- Easy enough to assemble with one person- Clear assembly manual which includes pictures- Made in the USA!- Rigid when assembled- Built-in StorageCons:- Built-in Storage is somewhat exposed to the elements due to uneven interior surfaces of the storage compartment. Spiders will likely make a home here which is why I sealed it with http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002YX98O. See customer images.- Seating area is 19″ deep but the internal storage is only 18″ deep forcing me to store the 19″ cushion we purchased at an angle and wasting storage space.

Love this item! I read and carefully considered all of the reviews before deciding decided to purchase this loveseat. I am absolutely so glad I did! One of my biggest concerns was assembly, because I’m not exactly a spring chicken anymore and with my boyfriend out of town assembly was all on me. I even left it sitting in the box for a day because I dreaded putting it together. But to my surprise, it was actually a breeze. I only used a phillips head screwdriver, didn’t need a mallet or hammer to ‘bang’ any pieces together. I didn’t even need to drill the holes. Just put firm and consistent pressure where indicated and the screws went through really pretty darn easily. I forgot to time how long assembly took me, but it couldn’t have taken more than 25-30 minutes. And it’s perfect for my balcony!Granted, I’ve only had it a few days but it sure seems solid and should last me a while. The resin (not sure of the official name of it) is so solid, I think it would take a heck of a lot to bend or damage it.Of course, it didn’t come with a cushion but I knew that. You definately need a cushion if you plan on spending much time on it:) Once I had the loveseat assembled and knew I liked it, I ordered one online here that fits perfectly. It is so comfortable now that I have spent time every morning and evning on it and fully plan on enjoying it as long as the weather holds out:)The only negative of this experience, and I do mean ONLY, was the shipping and arrival time. But my review of the shipping experience is separate.
