Good Quality and Faithful Representation.
I found this item while looking to add several classic artworks to my place that depict the life of Christ. I wanted a sculpture, and Michaelangelo’s Pieta was one of the few replicas I saw available for purchase. This one cost the most out of the the several options available, but it also seemed the most faithful in terms of detail to the original sculpture. When it arrived, it was true to the description offered on the seller’s page. The gleam and luster of the resin is different than Michaelangelo’s marble, but aesthetically pleasing in its own way. I like that the piece feels almost like an unpolished version. As some other reviewers noted, it has substance to it, as you would imagine a piece of sculpture should. It’s a nice weight. While the detail isn’t a perfect copy–for instance, the look of mournfulness on Mary’s face, the way that Christ’s arm sags under Mary’s hand are a little different–consider that this is a much smaller piece, and a different methodology of processing, in which to try to pack of all Michelangelo’s unbelievable craftsmanship. I think it still does an extraordinary job, and if you’re looking to add a replica of this sculpture to have either for artistic or devotional purposes, it will be among the best out there.

Exquisite replica!!!!
This is my second purchase of a La Pieta by Michelangelo Statue. The piece is truly museum-grade and the attention to detail is impeccable. I gifted the first one to my mother a few years ago as this is her favorite sculpture. Seeing the original sculpture in Italy with her was a very powerful and emotional affair. I remember seeing the sculpture for the first time and just wondering what thoughts were going through Mary’s mind at that moment. The only thing I could think of as a parent was “Look what they have done to my son…”, and it brought tears to my eyes. Being a parent of a son and daughter, I want nothing more than for my children to be safe, healthy, and free from harm. Recently a close family friend visited my mother and fell in love with the La Pieta sculpture. He was so moved by it that after a few moments he teared up and was very emotional. My mother mentioned that this sculpture has had a similar effect on many people that have come to visit her and see the sculpture. The 10-inch sculpture is very detailed and heavy and its depiction of the real La Pieta is identical if not more detailed. This being my second purchase of a 10-inch museum-grade La Pieta replica is a testament to its quality and representation as it is also a gift to a very dear friend. I can’t express how impactful the Top Collection “La Pieta” by Michelangelo Statue is to see, all I can only attest to is how it affects the people who see it, as it is a visually emotional piece to gaze upon.

Beautifully expressive, inspiring, and detailed statue
Words cannot describe how much I love this statue. La Pieta has been my very favorite religious statue since I was a young child. As I’ve grown older, I appreciate it’s beauty even more. I’m sure it means something different to everyone who views it. When I look at it, I see the ultimate expression of a Mother’s love, the comforting assurance of peace upon death, and a testament to the power of faith. I’ve seen many versions of this statue, but none that are this detailed and of this size at such a reasonable price. It’s not necessarily cheap to purchase, but it’s definitely not cheaply made either. The details are amazing and really bring this statue to life. The faces are so expressive that one can feel the emotions portrayed by the statue. It’s a great size and really stands out in my living room. Each day I find myself looking at the statue in quiet reflection of my faith and the role it has played in my life.

Seit ich das Original vor vielen Jahren im Petersdom bestaunt habe, bin ich auf der Suche nach einer wohnzimmertauglichen Replik. Ausschlaggebend für den Zauber dieses Kunstwerks ist für mich die perfekte Darstellung des mystischen Gesichtsausdrucks der Maria und die nicht minder geheimnisvolle Geste der linken Hand. Beides habe ich in dieser Größe nur bei dieser Replik gefunden.
