Eye-Catching Dragon (Not Dinosaur) Runner with Soft Texture and Strong Grip
I have been on the hunt for cool dragon-themed decor for a while, and this runner rug really surprised me, in a good way. Just to get it out of the way, this is no where near dinosaur themed, it’s dragon. Not an issue for me, as I was looking for a dragon themed one, but in case someone is looking for dinosaur themed, this is not that theme, even though the description says that it is.Regardless, it can be hard to find dragon designs that don’t look either cartoonish or overdone, but this one hits the sweet spot for my 6yo son, whom I ordered this for. The artwork features multiple dragons with real character in a cartoonish way, and the colors are rich without being overwhelming. Every time I pass by, I genuinely pause to admire it, but this really hit the spot with my son.Texture-wise, it’s soft and comfortable, even though it’s on the thinner side. That actually works in its favor, as it’s easy to toss into the washing machine, and mine came out of the wash once already, looking just as good as when I bought it. For something in a high-traffic spot, that’s a huge win.The rubber backing is solid, and I haven’t had a single issue with slipping or sliding, even in tighter spaces. It’s a detail I really appreciate. The size is just right for my space too, it runs neatly along the length of the hallway leading up to my sons room perfectly.I did notice some finishing flaws; the edges aren’t perfectly straight, and the corners could be cleaner. Also, the material isn’t actual wool; more likely a polyester, and the colors are printed on just the surface layer. That said, the print is vivid, and it holds up as long as you don’t scrub it hard. Overall, this has been a good hit in my household.

First of all, these creatures look like dragons, not dinosaurs, and they look awesome.Second, Faux Wool is not wool. The care tag doesn’t specify the fabric type of the rug, which I suspect is polyester. The care tag warns against washing in temperatures above 86 degrees Fahrenheit and mentions that the rug is flammable. Many rugs like this one with colorful prints have a similar issue: the color or print doesn’t penetrate the rug’s surface. It’s essentially white with the colors confined to the millimeter closest to the surface. It’s almost as if the color is sprayed on, but I have no idea how it’s applied. The print looks best when all the fibers are aligned in the same direction.The rug I received measures 35 1/2 x 23 3/4 inches. It has a rubbery texture on the bottom and does a good job staying in place on a hard floor. The finishing of the edges has room for improvement. I measured a 1/4 inch variation from a perfectly straight line along 3 of the edges. The corners are hemmed one at a time instead of a continuous hem all the way around, and 3 of the corners had an extra bit sticking out from the corner.This rug is super soft and feels good under my feet even though it’s not cushioned. Of course, since it’s a kids’ rug, some of my concerns about its construction, materials, and finishing are less important than the kids loving it. The print is sharp, the colors are vibrant, and it looks cool. I’m not sure if it’s a good value; the retail price is comparable to others, but I also see that many rugs like this are discounted.

So vibrant and soft. Great slip resistance and heavy. Do not know how well it will hold up or if there will be any issues with dyes but so far it’s doing good on the bathroom floor.
