Hello everyone, my name is John and this is my honest opinion on this product.You can buy candles almost anywhere. With so many retailers and brands, it is hard to choose which ones to buy. Maybe you like how one smells but it is too small. Maybe you like how one smells but it is too expensive. Well my fellow candle buyers, look no further than the Vanilla Bean Woodwick Jar Candle by Virginia Candle Company. Now I have to say this was a gift for a friend but I have owned many different Virginia Candle Company Candles in the past and I have loved them all. They are a conversation piece around the holidays and whenever family is over I always hear, “What is that smell? It smells great!” or “What is that crackling sound, is that the candle?” Now, for someone who has never bought one of these candles before, you may not know that these candles actually do make a nice crackling noise as they burn. Nothing dramatic enough to make the in-laws think there is a raging, crackling fire in the other room at thanksgiving, but not quiet enough that you have to tell everyone to quite down so you can admire that satisfying crackling and popping coming from the candle. It is honestly probably my favorite attribute to these candles. I just love that little crackle so much because of how satisfying it is .Anyway, you are probably tired of reading me talking about my obsession of crackling candles so here is what I can tell you about the smell. They have many great scents that are a pure delight to your nostrils. These candles give off a scent that is noticeable, but not too faint. The scent is strong, but not overpowering. Each of these candles smell just perfect. Now the reason I choose to review this specific scent of candle is because it is my favorite. It truly smells like vanilla bean, one of my favorite smells. Another notable attribute to these candles is the duration of burn time you have. Unlike your traditional wick, these candles burn longer and better. Plus they give a pretty little flame which looks a bit different from your generic candle. Anyway, thats all I really have to say.In conclusion, I would highly recommend this candle or any other candle by Virginia Candle Company. If you ask me how high these candles raise the bar, I would tell you that they are the bar. Nothing can beat them. But in all seriousness, I really do enjoy these candles and have given quite a few of them to my friends and family as gifts after they had asked me about them. These candles really are unique from any other because of the wick they use. If you are considering these candles, I really would encourage you to purchase one because you will not be disappointed with it. I will admit they are a bit pricey compared to your generic candle, (I mean seriously, 18 dollars for a candle) but these truly are a higher quality of candle compared to other brands. Candle enthusiast understand that candles are not simple products. We need a lot from a candle. From the throw, to the life span, and even down to the sound. This candle is ALL of that. And I am specifically referring to the Vanilla Bean smell. We all have smells we love and Vanilla is my ultimate favorite. Add a woodwick burn and you have me sold. It sounds like a fireplace on a winter night and a rainstorm on a summer evening. It’s by far, hands down, my favorite candle out there. The scent is perfect and the sound is so cozy.

This is beautiful, burns evenly and gorgeous scent. Cheaper than when I buy it retail.

I bought 2 of these for my living room, they have a beautiful aroma and they look good on my coffee table, can only light them 1 at a time because the aroma coming off them is sufficient for my living room, I did try lighting the 2 of them but found it a little over powering, it looks like they are going to last longer than I expected them too, I have already burned them both for at least 20 hours each and it doesn’t look like they’ve been used that much. They make a lovely crackling sound when their lit just like an open fire makes.
