Wonderful beds, sometimes misunderstood
The reviews of these Rumi metal beds are a bit strange, as if different people are reviewing different beds, though it’s the same bed. I think there are two problems. 1. The photos look like two small beds that get bolted together, but that’s another bed. The Rumi ones just look like that but the two things that look like two beds are just one construction. 2. The parts fit so tightly that it sometimes looks as if the parts don’t go with the bed that you received. I’m 81, and I couldn’t have put my bed together without the help of a rubber headed hammer that let me hammer the slats in and force some of the screw holes to align. With a hammer helping me to force things into where they should go, I found it pretty easy to make my beds, especially the 2nd one. When things were aligned, the screws started in smoothly and easily by hand and they went in smoothly with the ratchet. The free ratchet is a wonderful tool, but it was important to remove it by jiggling it back-and-forth in the same position, but not turning or twisting it at all, because then you could strip something. It was important to keep aware of what was going on. I think these are great beds, without the formaldehyde off gassing from all new wood, glued or not. And the lower ones are sturdy and quiet; I don’t know about the higher ones.I have about a 1″ topper on the bottom to keep my no-springs mattresses from dipping between the slats, from sliding across the metal, and to hold my sheets in place. I let it off-gass for a few days before sleeping near it. I like the platform effect for a firm-mattress feel. The cost also is great.

Sturdy but mattress slides around.
It was easy to put together and it is very sturdy. I have been sleeping on it for a little over a month now and it hasn’t squeaked at all or made noise and I do toss and turn a lot. There is adequate room to store stuff underneath and it’s the perfect height to sit down comfortably to put shoes on. I have only one complaint/issue. The mattress slides around on top of the bed frame so easily. I find myself constantly sliding the mattress back in place. Now, this only happens when someone bumps the mattress or sits down and it slides a little. It’s really annoying and I wish the company would have included the gaskets that go on the side to keep the mattress in place. I bought a different frame recently for my son and that did include those gaskets and it makes a real difference, he never had to slide his mattress back in place. For this reason I knocked off one star.

nice sturdy fame. fairly easy to assemble. I didn’t think this was a full size when I got it cause the box was so small. My only complaint is the mattress slides on the frame im constantly having to pull the mattress back to center so maybe want to put something on the bars to keep the mattress form sliding off. other than that it works great

I purchased this item and have used it for nearly a year and in that time I feel I am qualified to write an accurate review.Yes, this thing is very durable, holds the mattress off the ground securely and gives you ample storage space under the bed. Unfortunately the mattress does not seem to want to keep on it and will easily slide around the platform. This will also significantly soften the mattress so if you like a firmer bed then this is not an ideal solution for you.The other issue I experienced after about 3 months of use was a ridiculous amount of squeaking and creaking from just shifting in the bed. I have tightened all possible nuts, bolts, screws and that has not eliminated the problem. After spending several hours tracking down the sound I have discovered it is inside of the actual metal tubes and appears to be the metal flexing at various weld joints that cause the problem. THERE IS NO WAY TO FIX THIS TYPE OF SQUEAKING! I tried applying lubricant and that did not work. So, unless this is an isolated defect, the bed will begin squeaking eventually and once it does there will be no way to stop it. This also does not seem to be something that the company will remedy under warranty as my messages about it have gone gone unanswered.The other issue I had was that it does not include the adapter to secure the platform to a headboard. I have called and left numerous messages with the company over the past year and only received 1 returned call which went to my voicemail. Instead of sending me the missing pieces so I could attach my headboard they just asked me to call them back. So again I left more voicemails with my full name, address, and what I was needing from them in addition to me describing my purchase information. I have not yet received the adapters in the mail and I am guessing the company is not going to send them.TL:DR – The platform will either break or squeak and there is very little you can do to remedy or prevent it. The platform does not include the adapter for a headboard, yet the ones that are sold at Kmart do have that adapter. The company has been unresponsive over the past year and I have given up on it. If I could return this frame for a full refund I would in a heartbeat and may consult my credit card for warranty related options.I give it 2 stars only because it has not yet broken, even with the missing pieces, squeaks, creaks, and it significantly making my mattress feel softer, it does do what it claims, gives me extra storage while supporting my bed. I only wish it did it with more elegance. Until I can afford otherwise I will be awoken in the night every time I shift in bed due to the noise.**UPDATE**I HAVE UPLOADED A VIDEO THAT CLEARLY SHOWS THE CREAKING/SQUEAKING NOISE DUE TO FAULTY WELDS.

Good sturdy no noise bed
Nice bed. No noise no matter what. I originally thought I was buying a higher up bed but got this one but it still functions well. Very durable and sturdy good amount of underneath storage I just prefer a little higher up than this one. Only complaint is that the mattress constantly slides and moves so I wish there was a little angle so the mattress would stay in place. Other than that. Easy to put together bed especially if you need a bed when you first move before buying a nice set or something. Definitely recommend

Great Bed Frame, Easy to assemble
Sturdy bedframe with tools included. It looks great and seems very stable and does not creak, while raising the bed up a good amount. My only complaint is there is no way to quickly fold the bed frame up, the legs prevent folding so you must disassemble those to get the bedframe in a flat space. The shoulders are also adequate to keep the mattress in place.

Easy assembly, it’s actually a great product if you want a high quality frame for a good price, assembled in about 5 minutes, there is actually no squeaking noise at all , I replaced my old frame because of the squeaky slats, also this frame is foldable, great if you ever need to get rid of it or move , amazing product for this price range.

Le pense mucho en comprar esta base porque al ver la imagen y la forma supusé que sería una base muy frágil y complicada de armar. Sin embargo es todo lo contrario, no es pesada, se arma facilmente y es resistente, la recomiendo si eres una persona que cambias de casa constantemente, este producto es ideal. Asimismo te da la oportunidad de adaptarle una cabecera como un entrepié. El costo es accesible versus otras lugares donde vende este tipo de bases. La calidad es excelente. El unico detalle que le encuentro es el diseño dado a que pudiese ser solo una pieza en conjunto y no dos.

!!!!!!!Sept 2022 update:-Bought this frame July 2020 and I can honestly say it’s the one of the best purchases we’ve made. It’s still amazing. We’ve moved since buying it, and taking it apart/rebuilding it in the new place was super easy. I have no complaints other than you may want to add foam around the legs if you’re like me (I stub my toe a lot because I have terrible depth perception haha) but that’s not even a downside to the bed that’s just a me problem. A cut up foam noodle solved the issue fine!Also- my dog and cat spend a lot of time under it and it’s never once collapsed on them. Still holding up amazingly over two years later. Still no squeaks, not a sound.One thing I will recommend is getting a carpet for it or putting anti slip rubber things under the legs if you have hardwood, I just personally always recommend that anyways because I’m afraid of scratching the floor (we rent). Again not so much a product issue as a personal preference for precaution!TL;DR…. 2 years later it’s a great frame still. BUY IT!((Original review:))We bought this frame 6 months ago and it’s been amazing. I wanted to wait to review it properly.The frame is very tall so if you have a thick mattress you’ll find yourself up high like we do, but it doesn’t bother us. It worried me a bit at first because I was paranoid the frame would break, but after six months I can confidently say it’s very sturdy!Lots of space underneath for storage too, which is great if you live in a small space.The frame is silent, no squeaks or anything. Setup was relatively easy- less than 30 minutes.The frame comes with long sticky strips to adhere your mattress to the frame to prevent the mattress from slipping off. These work really well- almost too well, when we went to rotate our mattress recently it was really stuck on there! We ended up removing the tape and we found the mattress doesn’t really slip anyways, but the tape is really good for extra precautions if you’re worried.Overall this is a great frame for the price. Very sturdy, would recommend.
