WATERPROOF LAYER DESIGN

While these don’t look as sturdy as some other brands it should be sufficient for a mid brace. I would be unhappy if this was a corner post bracket. The coating is not very thick and seems like paint rather than a electrolysed powder coat. I would consider buying some better screws than the ones that come in the package. They seem very cheap and flimsy. But this piece was exactly what I wanted for a mid brace on a pergola I am building because the span was a little long I wanted another post in the middle to support the roof structure.It’s not perfect but it is sufficient so I am satisfied.The photo shows the part installed on the beam prior to installing the vertical post.
