Lights!
Awesome! They are bright and perfectly spaced. The length of my deck railing is about 20 inches, and 18 inches covered, about a quarter (or 5 inches) since I loop the lights around for a dense lighting effect on all sides. The timer is convenient, but I won’t use it every night, as I don’t need the lights to burn for 6 hours. I wish there was a 3 or 4-hour timer option. 6 hours is too long.Overall these lights are great and well worth the price. It’s so much better than the hassle of plugging in a cord.

Nice lights with plenty of twinkle settings
I use these on all my small bushes in the front or exposed side of the house. They take three AA batteries each. The lights are bright when they first start out. The batteries will last about two weeks @ 6 hours a day. They will get dimmer over the course of those two weeks. When they get too dim the batteries need to be replaced.Therein lies the problem. You need to open up the control unit, which is easy enough, but opening up the compartment can be the cause of the unit not being usable. There is a rubber gasket attached to the bottom of the compartment. Sometimes that gasket will come off as it is stuck to the compartment ‘door’. If that is the case it is almost impossible to fit back in and cause the unit to not work.The lights have a built in 6 hour shut off after they come on and they will come back on in 18 hours after they went off. The six hour timer to be on depends on when you first turn the unit on. So if you have a number of these units they will cascade on based on when you first turned on the unit.

BEST BATTERY-OPERATED STRING LIGHTS
I’ve bought many brands of string lights––battery-operated AND Solar-charged string lights, and none of them could stand up to these lights. First off, don’t buy the solar lights if you expect them to last outdoors, because they will not last. Secondly, it’s always best to store the battery pack either in a container (zip-lock bag works for me, or hang it where the battery-pack is out of the weather and precipitation. These lights are well made, and the battery pack is not a flimsy piece of plastic….it’s strong plastic. I would buy these lights again in a second.

Just as advertised – and more.
These lights are everything that’s advertised and more. There are multiple settings for the lights to blink, dim, flash and others, but what I like best is that the lights automatically shut themselves off after 6 hours – and then come back on 18 hours after that. So essentially, they come on at the same time every day and go off after 6 hours. Some may prefer more control over the timer, but with this product, you just set it and forget it.

I was looking for good quality, small, light weight indoor battery powered lights for a couple of items in my home that are not near outlets. Quality was important as I have had issues with these types of lights in the past. These lights met most of my objectives – they are light weight, easy to install, and easy to manipulate around garland. But two things have been irritating – (1) they go out randomly and (2) selecting a setting from their multiple settings (flashing, strobing etc) is somewhat random. I want the lights to remain on when I turn them on. Should be straight forward (right?) as when you turn them on, this is supposed to be the first setting – but this has not been the case. I often have to scroll through the various settings to just get them to stay on. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.

These lights look almost as good as the plug-in mini lights. They are bright enough for my wreaths, and the built-in timer makes them super convenient. The number of batteries adds up (3 per stand), so hopefully they last a couple of weeks!
