Works great, great price, birds are happy!
This is one of the best things I’ve bought this year! This heated birdbath is awesome! The birds are so happy that they have fresh water when it’s freezing outside. You must wash it daily to keep your feathered friends healthy, as the bacteria from birds is very harmful to them if not properly cleaned. I use a soapy water (Blue Dawn and hot water) and then I spray with rubbing alcohol and rinse. We have ours bolted ro our deck railing. This is a fantastic item for the money.. as I’ve seen some over $100.00!

The birds love it!
This is a sturdy water dish and it’s working to keep the water from freezing. The dish was unstable in the framework and was keeping the birds from perching on the edge because the dish moved. I cut a disc of styrofoam in a circle and placed it under the dish. Problem solved.

Great bird bath!
I didn’t measure before I ordered, but it does fit very tightly over my 2×4 (doesn’t screw tighter). With that said, this is a great bird bath! It’s plastic, and I think it’ll hold up fine in the freezing temps as long as I keep water in it. The heater keeps the water cool to the touch, but also unfrozen. The one picture shows frost around the edges–that’s at 5 degrees Fahrenheit. At that low temp, it showed no signs of freezing in the bath itself, so it can handle the serious cold! And I like the blue color–it seems to attract birds to the more “natural” color of water than I have with brown winter baths. Love this bird bath!

Nice birdbath
Worked great this winter. Held a nice warm temperature when it would get down below freezing. Birds are loving it.

🐦Winter hydration🐿
I bought this heated bird bath in the middle of last winter. I needed to be able to clean and refill a bird bath that would be closer to the house. This model for deck railings fit the deck rail perfectly and was very easy for me to install. I had to use a heavy duty, outdoor extension cord to reach the outlet. The water did not freeze all winter and the local wildlife had a regular source of clean water.

It works well but…
The birdbath works well and keeps the water from freezing, however it does not seem to be as popular as the old one it replaced. We think it is because it has straight walls rather than a shallow bowl shape. We’re thinking adding a flat rock in the center might make it more appealing to the birds.

The birds love their new Daoeny Heated Bird Bath
So far so good after 14 days in the Northeast, average outside temp 28 degrees F and this Daoeny Heated Bird Bath has been holding at 59 degrees. The birds LOVE IT! and have started petitioned for a hot tub.

Unit survived the winter in Northern Ontario and kept water open for birds and small wildlife. I have it clamped to a railing on a second storey and while we haven’t had a ton of birds visit, there have been a few along with the odd squirrel looking for water in the heavy snow. As others have mentioned, the bird sticker does eventually come off. I like the design with the perforated edges which birds can hang onto and snow doesn’t build up on.
