Exact match for OE!
Was having an issue with a P0455 code on my Frontier 4.0. My truck is 20 years old and I know these fail. I had the original one tested and it had a vacuum leak. This is an exact duplicate of the OE one and the price was decent. I’ve used Dorman products for years with great success. I hope to get years of service out of this part.

I replaced the canister in my truck a few months back. The error code did not return. This did the job.

Perfect replacement
2012 xterra had error code for evap circuit short. Bought this used and used sensor. Replacement was fairly easy. And I just filled the xterra for the first time in years without the gas pump clicking off prematurely. Prior owner must have topped off the tank on the usual

Fits on 2012 Nissan Frontier But Not Like Original
The old evap canister was difficult to remove. I took off the driver rear tire to make access easier. The new one matches the old one exactly at first glance, but when you go to reconnect the surge sensor/electrical connection (plug in that does not go to the valve) the connection is impossible to make. All the hoses fit perfectly. The new valve went on easy. When I went to insert the sensor/electrical plug, the plug would not go in all the way and would not clip in. The new evap canister has a slightly different lip and slightly different depth where the sensor/electrical plug goes. The plug does not go in all the way no matter how hard to press it or how much you wiggle it. I thought replacing this part would make my check engine light go out, but the poor electrical connection now causes the engine light to stay on.
