ILD / Compression Rating Explanation
This product has a compression rating of 44 lbs.
Compression means the number of pounds necessary to compress the piece of foam by 1 inch in a 7×7 inch area.
For example, if you put 44 lbs in a 7×7 inch area, the foam will compress 1 inch.
Density Explanation
Many mistakenly take high density foams as firmer foams but that is not the case. A foam that is 44 ILD in a medium and high density will feel the same.
Density is the lifespan of the foam, the higher the density the more material is used to make the foam hence making it last longer.

Many advertise their 1.8 density foam as high density which is false advertisement. When looking at foam products you should look at the ILD / Compression Rating ( Firmness and Softness ) of the foam and Density ( Lifespan / Durability ) of the foam.
Sunlight will turn this unit from white to yellow, if you do not want a color change on your unit we suggest keeping it away from direct sunlight.

Received quickly and rolled to compressed. Once released it expands right away. I ordered an 3” thickness for a cushion replacement. Easy to cut to size with electric knife and/or a large serrated bread knife. Quality was great and firm for a cushion replacement. Button tufting the cushion was very easy once covered with upholstery fabric. Very happy. Left over section I cut off was large enough for a pet bed that I sewed a cover for. So I got double the use from one roll. Will order again from this seller.

Makes a great pet bed for an older (arthritic) cat!
I purchased this to make a cat bed for my arthritic cat. He no longer feels safe jumping up on my bed and had difficulty jumping down because his back legs/hip area are athritic. My vet has prescribed meds for him, however, his bad experiences with jumping up on furniture means he prefers to sleep on the floor. I have other cats, and so I have a few cat beds. What I wanted was one that he could share with his buddy, who is about the same age. They cuddle up together now on the bed. Here’s how I made the bed.I purchased the foam, then unwrapped it for a few days to “breathe” and then I folded it in half, made a pillowcasing out of an old sheet and a few seams later I had a slipcover for it. Then I wrapped a soft polyester throw over that. I am planning to shop for soft fake fur similar to their other cat beds, to make a pillowcasing. I don’t like using zippers so I will sew on some large snaps (purchased on Amazon and used for lots of other things) so that I can easily take it off to wash.d I am very happy with the quality of the foam. The cats are about 13 lb each and while they snuggle onto the bed, they don’t sink into it. Just the right amount of firmness. I can also sit comfortably on this bed.In the meantime, both cats are happily snuggled up on the cat bed. The bed fits nicely in the corner of our bedroom where we will not stumble over it. This was money well spent!

Good quality, inaccurate measurement
Why did you pick this product vs others?:The quality of this foam is great! I used it to replace some couch cushion inserts. The only issue is that the dimensions were about an inch and a half to two inches off leaving my cushions to not be the size I needed and not filling the cushion covers completely.

“I AM YOUR DENSITY!”
Our old sectional couch had a hide-a-bed on one side that, over the years, provided less and less support to the foam cushions over that part. No amount of blankets, towels or pillows under the cushions helped to support my plus size spouse. My AI helped me learn that I needed “FIRM” upholstery foam. Since I’m retired, I didn’t feel I’d be able to buy new inserts for the battered cushion covers and get the covers over large pieces of foam, SO I chose this long piece of upholstery foam MADE IN THE USA and FIRM. I knew I’d need to cut the foam because the area I needed to replace was 60″. this piece comes as 72″. The package came quickly. I knew the vacuum-packed 24x5x72 piece of foam would EXPAND quickly when unpacked, and it did! But it’s not exactly heavy, just awkward to wrangle around the room so I could remove the old couch cushions. I bought this long piece so there would be no break in the middle of the area where my spouse reclines all day. I knew the piece would need to be cut, so I drew a line on one end of the foam, 11 inches in, rather than 12 inches because if it was still too long I could trim it a bit more, but the extra inch turned out to be perfect!!! To cut the foam I used my electric kitchen knife (40 years old) and with slow, steady pressure, I was able to cut the foam in about 2 minutes. The long cushion is a perfect fit! It stands 5 inches tall. The 24″ width tucked under the back cushion just like the original cushions, and fits flush with the front skirt of the couch area! I cover this area with fleece throws (for ease in laundering) so it looks perfectly normal! AND when my spouse sat and then reclined on his new area, his doubtful expression changed to surprise! Wow! The FIRM upholstery foam is supporting his weight. Now he’ll be comfortable all through football season. And I got this wonderful piece of foam for an absolutely wonderful price. No need to buy a new sectional at our age!!! Thank you!

I used this to make new RV seat cushions. The foam cuts super clean and easy if you use an electric knife. No mess and straight edges. The foam feels comfy yet firm to sit on and holds is shape really well. Great product!

Have 2 couches in good shape but the cushions were sagging badly.Custom foam stores wanted over $400 to replace 4 seat cushions!Bought this foam and in an hour had two couches that are like new!! Good,firm foam,packaged in quite small box,no smell,easy to cut(measured,marked with a chalk marker,cut with a large bread knife and then a utility knife on my second set,didn’t use any batting,slipped into covers easily) Strongly recommend.
