Will it work on cloudy days?
Yes, absolutely. Its built-in battery backup stores solar power, allowing it to run continuously on overcast days. A full charge also provides up to 6 hours of runtime after sunset.
How do I clean it?
It’s simple. Every 1-2 weeks, wipe the basin clean with fresh water. To maintain the pump, lift it out, open the bottom cover, and rinse the filter pad. This ensures optimal performance and a healthy environment for birds.

Did not work for me.

Birds ignore it
Worked for 5 days and quit. Only been up 4 days. Hummingbirds won’t have anything to do with it. Neither do the chickadees. Probably don’t waste your money

Where are my birds?
This is easy to use, stays clean and works well. Unfortunately my birds are not interested so far. I will bring it in for the winter and try placing it someplace else next spring.

I had a hard time finding a true solar powered fountain. This one, once fully charged will work even in the shade.It has a large water capasity, so you don’t have to refill very often, even when it is hot and windy.I am enjoying it.

I have had this up for almost two months and not one bird has come to it. I have tons of birds out there. They use the other bird baths, and they just don’t come to this one for some reason.

Solar Birdbath – Nice Concept, but Not Practical for Birds
I’ve had this solar birdbath for over two months, and I’ve delayed writing this review because I really wanted to love it. The solar function works as advertised, which is a plus, and it’s visually attractive, adding a nice decorative touch to the yard and fun to use and have. However, as a practical birdbath for birds, it falls short—I haven’t noticed any birds using it, which is disappointing.While the idea of a solar-powered birdbath is great, it feels more like a decorative piece than a functional one. For the price, I’m not convinced it’s worth purchasing just for aesthetics, as I expected more utility for attracting birds. I’m just not a fan overall. I’d recommend this solar birdbath only if you’re looking for a purely decorative yard piece and don’t mind the lack of practical bird use. Otherwise, you might want to explore other options.

I like the design of this bird bath – work well even on overcast days.
I have been using this solar-powered pole bird bath for a full two weeks. I like the design and function of the bird bath. I also like the strength of the battery.The fountain for this bird bath is typically running when I get up in the morning, even if there is not direct sunlight on the solar panel. In the evenings the fountain continues to run well after losing direct sunlight. At my location, my backyard loses direct sunlight about a half hour before sundown. This fountain typically runs until 15 minutes after sundown.I also like the shallow water depth of this bird bath. The bowl of the bird bath holds at least a quart of water below the solar panel. The fountain releases the water on top of the solar panel. The depth of that water is about 3/16th of an inch, which is perfect for the smaller songbirds in my area.So far, I have only had a few birds use this bird bath, for drinks, I am hoping I will see more birds using it shortly. I have not seen any mosquito larvae in the water of the bowl.
