The lantern looks nice in the daylight so it can be left out all day and night.
We have several solar lanterns hanging from the eaves in our backyard porch and were looking to add a few smaller ones that could be placed on the ground or a table. We came to Amazon to see what was available and saw this Simlux Brand lantern. It looked like a good fit for our needs so I ordered one to try.Unlike our large hanging solar lanterns, this unit is small but still gives out a decent amount of light.The Butterfly pattern shows up well very close to the lantern, which is good when it is being used on a table top.What I like about this particular lantern:It has a switch to select between two different “colors” of white light. Bright or Cool White.The pattern is best at about 8 inches away from the bottom and sides, perfect for a table.It looks nice in the daylight so it can be left out all day and night.It is completely water resistant and is safe to leave out rain or shine.The solar panel collects enough light energy to keep it on until well past dark, even on a cloudy day.With its 8 inch clear image projection, I wouldn’t recommend this one to hang from any place up high.The pattern gets blurry once it gets past 10 inches but that makes it perfect for things like a table or even sitting directly on the ground.

Butterfly & Sunflower Solar Lantern
My mom loves all things lanterns and I love butterflies and sunflowers, so when I saw this I had to get it.This is absolutely beautiful straight from the box and the best part is that it is solar, no batteries, no power cord! It looks very rustic.This comes with a hanging hook already already on it, which is fantastic. You simply take the plastic off the solar panel and switch it to on. There are two different lighting settings (warm white and cool white), I didn’t see much difference in the settings, but that could be just me.There is a bit of weight to it with it being metal, so hopefully the wind won’t do damage it.From the bottom of the lantern to the top of the hook it’s almost 12 inches high. The lantern itself is a little over 7 inches tall. The best part is that this looks beautiful whether you hang it or just place it in a sidewalk or table. My mom has a shepherd’s hook and put this out in a garden.When I got this it wasn’t dark outside but I took it to a dark room and it lit up immediately.The only problem I have is that my mom wants more of these…a lot more!

LOVE this absolutely gorgeous butterfly and sunflower solar lantern
I love a good solar lantern, especially one which throws beautiful designs when lit. This lantern is gorgeous, both on and off! The brushed bronze is very classy and not too heavy. The sunflower and butterfly art is easily visible and incredibly detailed. And when lit, it looks EXACTLY how you want it to look! Just flip the switch on and leave it in the sun. When it gets dark, it turns on automatically. The soft light throws incredibly defined patterns onto a table or surface. The farther away the lantern, the blurrier this design becomes. You don’t have to hang this up (I really don’t have any way to do so-I just leave it on the table on the porch), but if you do, the butterfly design on the bottom is so very pretty. A good value at $14 and makes a great goft for any nature lover.

Beautiful Solar Light Detail
I ordered the SIMLIX Solar Outdoor Lantern to put outside on my deck. This Waterproof decorative lantern is so pretty. It has a beautiful sunflower and butterfly design. I put it outside around 10 am and by dusk it had a full battery charge. It put off a very bright pattern and you could see it clearly from a distance as well. It has a removable handle on the top. Giving you the choice of hanging it or having it sit stationary. It’s made of laser cut metal that feels pretty thick and durable. I did place a rock in the bottom off mine just in case of heavy winds. Priced a little on the higher side. But, aesthetically I see the value in the cost.

Beautiful rustic solar lantern at a great price
This solar lantern is gorgeous! It so sweet and simple and the quality is off the charts! It is a rustic rusted looking metal lantern with a metal handle and cute butterflies and flowers cut out. The light is in a removable insert on the top that is flush with the lantern that has a slight notch cut out making removal to turn it on ir off ir to replace batteries a pinch. It came already to go and lit up instantly when I pushed the button. It would be cute on a deck or a porch or even in maybe a bathroom if you could have it in direct sunlight from a window to charge. Thw pattern casts so vibrantly and bright. I most definitely will be ordering more foe me and some for gifts. The lantern looks so expensive but it is so reasonable.

Sturdy And Beautiful Solar Lantern
This solar lantern is made from a sturdy metal with a bronze finish, and has a handle to hang it from. It has a pattern of butterflies and flowers cut into the sides and bottom of the lantern. It charges readily and turns on as soon as it’s dark enough. It’s fairly bright. It casts a pretty pattern on the ground below. It’s really beautiful, and I think it’s a good value at the price.

The shadows from this solar lantern are very pretty- I love this type of lantern-creates interesting shadows in the garden.The reason for the star reduction is that the finish looks nothing like the listing photos. I like the finish- don’t care much as it’s hidden in greenery, but truth in advertising and all that.The solar function works great.
