The height (B) is calculated from the height (A) of the short side. The length of the angled wood (D) can be determined by the span (C). For kits with a waterproof top, use the top length (in inches) as the C measurement.
A: What is the height of the short side(A) inch( According to your measurement size)
B: The Length/Span of the tall side will be (B=A+0.26*D) inch
C: What is your desired span (C) inch (According to your measurement size)
D: The length of the angled lumber will be (D=C/0.966) inch

Good solid, pergola, sunshade kit! Spent about an equal amount dollar for dollar on lumber. Only took me about an hour to cut the wood and assemble it, and I did that by myself. Having another person or two would definitely help. Let your imagination run wild with ways to cover it! It may seem wobbly but when you’re done screwing all the bolts in, it definitely firms up. For the price, you’re not gonna find anything comparable, most definitely not when you hire somebody to do it for you. Oh and it comes with 16 concrete anchor bolts which are at least a couple bucks each at the store!

This is the third kit that I have purchased, as these have proven to be high quality brackets that hold up in harsh northwoods. conditions. One set has been in the elements for three years now, no sign of paint chips or rust or corrosion. These are GREAT for putting up ATV shelters and garage extensions, not to mention the original idea as a Pergola. Excellent product, no disappointments here.
